Calgary Arcade and Pinball Show 2012
Just wanted to let everyone know the details for this year's show. Based on the feedback from last year it will be a 2 day event this year so hopefully more people can make it down.

Main Hall
Acadia Recreation Complex
240 90th Ave SE
Calgary
Saturday Sept. 15 - 10 a.m. - midnight
Sunday Sept. 16 - 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Admission is $15 per day or a weekend pass is $20
Kids 12 and under are FREE
*Weekend passes will be available at the door on Saturday*

Going to be a good one this year, more time to set up and more time to play. Hopefully we have some new people bringing games.
Pretty sure I'll be bringing 5 pins this year, 2 of which will be for sale.

Maybe I'm just not a pinball geek and it doesn't matter to me like it does to other people, but given my experience at the event last year I have confidence in the organizer(s).

Jay, the organizer, has a lot of people verbally commiting to bring games but it's a different deal getting everyone to follow through. Hard to make guarantees. It will be a surprise, show up and see what's there.

there will also be a Golden Tee, Buck Hunter, Spiderman and megatouch there. I will also try to bring a MAME machine or two.

Pin numbers are looking good, conservative estimate is at well over 30 machines. Arcade list should be updated on the site very soon.

Our hockey evaluations are at the ARC this weekend. I am sure the 150 or so novice-aged kids will be having a great time there.
As someone who attended last years event in Inglewood (with my son) I would suggest that you only allow kids under 12 for free when accompanied by a paying adult, otherwise you will have a bunch of parents in the lobby griping about tryouts while letting their kids blow off some steam playing free pinball.
