Alberta has similar rules. If you're over 75, you need to have an eye test and medical approval before they'll renew your license.
I believe that after a certain age, the renewal period goes from 5 years to 1 year, but I'm not sure about that.

Elementary aged kids, for the most part, don't have guns yet. Their older siblings might though. This is right smack dab in the middle of South Central.

According to the firemen, it happens way more than we think (according to them they do this type of call every few days in town).

Are you sure that wasn't just some sort of Asian gang assassination attempt sans guns? I mean...Chinese restaurant....Calgary....
You see, this is what happens when you have strict gun laws. Gangs turn to ramming cars into other gangs favorite restaurants.

True, but I don't believe they actually have to go for an on-road drivers test.
If they had to do that a lot of elderly seniors would probably fail.

Isn't that what we want? Fewer old people on the road.

He backed into them?

The incident occurred Wednesday afternoon when Carter was backing up from a grocery store near an elementary school in southern Los Angeles.
His Cadillac jumped the curb and plowed into the crowd, according to Richard French, a spokesman for the Los Angeles Police Department.

you don't have to have a license to drive. To drive legally you have to but it's not needed to drive.
But they do have written and driving tests that one has to take to get it.
