I hope you get CBS because I would be willing to bet that they have more Bama games this year than ESPN. Their home schedule sucks this year too. A&M is nice but they will get throttled and Auburn. That's it, nothing really worth a dang

Bama wins by 17.. Although I would love to see them lose and watch the people jump off buildings around here.

I can't decide who to back in the UM-Bama game. I hate scUM, but there's also the Saban factor (although that soften a bit after seeing some of the things he's said about MSU recently, seems to be boosting the program quite a bit) and the fact I'd like to see a Big Ten team knock of a top SEC team. At the end of the day I can't cheer for UM though, so I'll likely be backing Bama and hoping both teams leave Dallas beat up.
More important though is tomorrow nights MSU-Boise St game. Should be a good early season test for both teams, but I don't think Boise has what it takes to win in East Lansing, not this year. Breaking in anew QB against that defense is going to be ugly, and while MSU also has a new QB they have the benefit of returning 4 starters on the line and a premier RB. I see it coming down to who has the better defense, and barring any unforeseen developments that's MSU.

Michigan is the only Big10 team recently to have any success versus the SEC, so I think they can definitely win this. Denard is a different animal than what the SEC is used to (Cam, Tebow etc), much more vertical speed than bruising rusher. His passing is atrocious but it needs to be acceptable for them to win. I do think Bama will win but I see this as a 27-24 game.

 Umm what?
The last time UM played an SEC team was 2 years ago in the Gator Bowl, they lost to Mississippi State 52-14. Previous to that you have to go back to 2007 when they beat Florida in the Capital One Bowl.
Perhaps you're thinking of the other team in Michigan, the one that beat Georgia last year.

Don't confuse Denard with Tebow or Cam. He's shifty and extremely fast but Newton and Tebow would run someone over. Denard I think is fun to watch because you just don't know what he is going to do.

I'd still say Michigan is doing better than than most of their Big10 breatheren versus the SEC (OSU being the obvious one to mock).
I actually wasn't comparing Denard to Tebow/Newton, I was contrasting them. Tebow and Newton liked to run you over; Denard likes to run by you. Denard is too poor a passer for me to pick them because at some point he'll need to lead them on a drive that will require lots of passing, and I just can't trust him to do that. Bama's D isn't going to be as leaky as for instance Notre Dame's was last year against Michigan. If I remember didn't Denard complete like 10 passes for like 350 yards?

Denard can make you lose your Jock strap in a phone booth.

Based upon what exactly? The only one they played in the last 5 years kicked the tar out of them. I get that this is a different UM team, but that statement is just downright ridiculous and completely detached from reality. And mocking OSU's record? Really? They lost to an SEC team last year by 7, in the same bowl game UM got stomped in, and beat Arkansas in the Sugar Bowl the year before that. You're mocking that? C'mon, I think it's time for you to actually take a look at what has happened instead of just making it up.

The biggest issue with him is whether he'll be on the field enough for that to matter. The guy takes a lot of punishment.

And the constant worry that when he's off he's waaaaaay off. There's never middle of the road Denard, it always seems to be feast or famine with him.

OSU got trampelled in back to back titles games against the SEC, and their only bowl victory ever over an SEC team techinically didn't happen. I'd say thats a pretty poor track record. Michigan is 7-5 against SEC teams in bowls, and while not a phenomenal record is still impressive. Also they did beat the Tebow Gators of 08, so they do have a recent win. The loss to Miss. State, well, I think everyone would agree the RichFraud era at Michigan was a debacle beyond comprehension. He did what he could to destroy that program.

I find it weird that his body can evade so many opposing players but his passes cant.

What's Denard's NFL position? WR? RB? Defensive Back?

I'm predicting a mudhole stomping on in that Bama Michigan game tbh, Denard or no Denard.
Perhaps these words will come back to haunt me, but I don't think so.

And exactly what relevance does that have to Saturday? You tried to use Michigan's record of success against the SEC as some sort of plus to them for this matchup, when the reality is that the only players on that team who have ever played an SEC opponent left with their tails between their legs.
Why do people point to things that happened in 1984 when discussing a particular game? It's the most non-sensical thing imaginable.

I don't see him being effective in the NFL at any position. The speed advantage is diminished drastically and I haven't seen anything out of him to make me think he'd be much of a WR. He's one of those guys who has a great skill set for college that just doesn't translate to the pro's IMO.
