Anybody know of a badass angels/demons/nephilim books? I read the short story "Hell is the Abscence of God" by Ted Chiang which got me wanting to read more. Unfortunately, the only books I can find are in the Twilight vein which is the exact opposite of what I want.

Okay, can I ask for opinions from those with life experience (read: all you old dudes ) as to whether this sounds genuine, or a little bit sketchy?
So I'm a University-aged female working retail at a mall, and today the store was pretty much empty when a lady (early 30s I'd say, in age) comes in and is looking at some pins near the till. Then she starts chatting with me, which obviously isn't uncommon. We talk about travelling, like where I went this summer, and she talks about places she'd like to go, that kind of thing. She then asks me about my plans for school/work (which isn't uncommon either) and she mentions how it took her a little while, too, to figure out what she wanted to do with her life etc. etc.
After a little bit she mentions how she might be interested in meeting me for coffee sometime to further chat, and to see if I might be interesting in doing some part-time work where she is; I asked what it is she did, and said that it was kind of like an "online mall". She explained that it might be a good fit for me, because it's the kind of work you can do while being able to travel at the same time, and said that the people she works with are great. Meanwhile, she never elaborated on what it was exactly she did.
We exchanged numbers, and I can say that it was honestly a nice chat overall, but it just struck me as strange, in a way, how she didn't reeeaaally look at items in the store for too long. (After we spoke, she left without looking at anything else.)
Sorry for the long story, but I'm trying both not to be rude and/or gullible in this situation. Opinions, please?
(If any of you are thinking it: she mentioned her husband several times, so no, I don't think it's a disguise for that kind of coffee date, hahah.)

Sounds very sketchy to me. I think I'm the overly suspicious type though.

I think I've definitely grown into being overly suspicious, so I hear ya.
But that could also be because I don't get a ton of social interaction, which leaves me not always knowing how to read people.
I appreciate the input.

I'm going to assume it's a multi-level marketing 'recruiter'. They often target the university age crowd, and generally use vague descriptions as to what they do, until they get you to meet them over coffee.

as other posters mentioned, it sounds like a MLM type thing, get you somewhat intrigued, to get you to meet for coffee. then...blamo! the sales pitch about quixtar or something like that. You could always go for coffee and once they start telling you about thier mlm, tell them you are not interested in a sales pitch or career change (unless you are interested), if she presses, say thanks for the coffee and leave

Adam by Ted Dekker. This is a seriously great book, although it cost me a night of sleep, since I couldn't not finish it.

If you are a fan of the Diablo games, apparently the books aren't too bad either. You have the armies of heaven and hell at war with each other, with humans caught in the middle

If I had the rocks to go that far I might, but the anxiety it would cause me wouldn't be worth potentially getting some free coffee out of it, honestly.
The more I think about it, the more I really agree with what you're all saying.
Great, thanks again gentlemen!
And Hockeyguy15, you're right, I was just waiting for that!
(All in good fun.)

Clearly, you are not a good stalker if you have not already seen pics! Or you never saw the show your mug thread.
That's why no one had to clarify that she was good looking, we already knew it to be true.

I went into an interview one time for, what I thought was going to be a sweet job in a marketing position. When they asked if I wanted to come back for the day and see what they did I naturally jumped at the opportunity. Basically I ended up travelling around watching them sell #### out of the trunks of their cars in a parking lot. I took a cab back to my car after an hour.
