Yes, all companies are guilty of stupid, bullying like tactics. But how else am I supposed to interpret an admitted Apple defender's slamming of their rival? That he thinks Apple is just as guilty as Samsung? Kinda hard to make that leap. He says Apple are no angels, but he clearly believes Samsung is worse at bullying tactics than Apple, which is obviously subjective. If he doesn't, he can say so right now and put an end to any confusion.

I haven't seen a single thing that substantiates that claim. As far as I can tell you've pretty much just made it up.
If anyone is guilty of being incredibly biased here it's you, and you apparently don't even have a reason for it. All I've seen are things painting Samsung as a victim and Apple as some marauding corporation.

Samsung is a victim? Can I be a victim like them, still insanely rich and likely to get richer? I simply don't like Apple, but i'm not a Samsung homer at all. I don't own any Samsung products. Samsung can kiss my ass for all I care. I've made my thoughts on Apple clear in previous posts, and I can tell you there are many who share my feelings.
And as to making it up, when you're in favor of one company and are slamming a rival, what else am I supposed to assume? That he thinks the company he supports is as bad or worse? If he did I'd give him some major props. But otherwise its not some insane jump in logic is it?

The only victims are consumers. Which is why I don't get why people are so quick to defend Apple.

You don't say, your logical and well reasoned posts regarding them almost had me fooled.
Edit: Not meant to be insulting, just can't figure out why someone who claims to be so independent would care either way.

I would say indifference is probably the right word to describe how I feel about this. I don't particularly like Apple as a company for personal reasons. Samsung is a far less relavent company in North America so I really don't know much about them. But in time I may grow to dislike them much like I do Apple. Sometimes you can't really explain why do you don't like something, you know?
Like I say I think Apple is smug and arrogant, but thats obviously personal opinion. Why do I think that? I just find that for such an "innovative" company, they basically have released the same phone several times over with just slight adjustments to newer models, which to me is them saying "Consumers will purchase our product even if it is 90% the same as the one they just bought 6-12 months ago". I think it takes a certain arrogance to do little innovation and expect everyone to simply buy it. But since it seems people do simply buy it, Apple's arrogance isn't a bad thing for them.

What you call arrogance I call brilliance, the fact that they've been able to obtain the market position they have is astounding.

Do all these poor little companies not have multi-million dollar legal departments too? I assume they've also never filed suit against another company on similar grounds.
These are big tech companies being big tech companies, trying to turn it into good guy vs. bad guy is ridiculous.

Their claims of originality are suspect at best. Hence the reason for us saying they are arrogant.

Care to point out where Samsung is firing all the first shots in these litigation wars?

Not sure how current or inclusive this is, but it demonstrates that patent lawsuits among tech companies are incredibly common:

Again, we all know that they are suing each other. The point is that Apple is going above and beyond in their lawsuits against other companies.
If you actually look at the picture, Samsung is only mentioned as having sued Apple and are involved in a couple other cases where it seems like the opposing party sued first.
Apple on the other hand started at least 4, and is involved in numerous other ones.

What do you mean by this? I had an iPhone for a year or two, have an iMac still and have had a few versions of iPods. I haven't owned anything Android yet, but like I say a new phone is in my near future. I don't think I'm a fanboy of anything tech-wise really.

Well if we're going on that picture Apple has 4 outgoing lines and 10 incoming lines. Where's the outrage at everyone picking on poor Apple?
And please, let's see some support for the notion that Apple is "going above and beyond" (whatever that means).

I was just taking a good natured shot at you after remembering a thread where you talked about using the Playbook.

That speaks to how screwed up the patent system is. There are obviously a lot of patent trolls seeking damages.
