I updated last night also and afterwards the game would crash and freeze. I don't reccomend these drivers. Even after rolling back I have issues but when I rolled back I accidently forgot to do a clean install so I'm sure that will fix my problems tonight.

Yeah, PC only. I know you have a decent PC man you played Diablo 3

The biggest different for me is the combat system, I hated being mercy to a random roll of the dice or locked into a spell in games like WoW. With this if i see someone preparing for a big spell I wait it out then dodge last minute. The PvP aspect of this game is glorious, knowing that level 4s can compete and be as useful as a level 50 is great.

I do the majority of my leveling in PvP since I hate the MMO kill 12 boars and bring meat crap. This game has none of that. I never go hunting for quests, world events drop consistently keeping me entertained and not grinding.

So far I've 100% cleared 3 zones. The Asura starting zone (Metrica Province), and two 15-25 zones (Brisbane Wildlands and Kessex Hills). This has taken me to level 28, almost 29. Anybody have suggestions on where I should head next?

Your story mode should give you a heads up on where to go (really good XP too), are you following it?

Just played the Diablo3 open beta on my Macbook Pro booted into Windows. Do you think it would be powerful enough for this game?

Yup, it up to the end of the 15-25 zones. I'll probably start with that once I'm off work today and see where it takes me then. Is the mystic forge in Lion's Arch only?

Well realizing that you own a Macbook I am now questioning our friendship.

If you can run diablo 3 you could run GW2

What are the stats of your mac book? CPU / GPU / HDD

Did you use a clean install for the new drivers? I haven't had any problems with these yet, ran the game for... well an embarrassing amount of time on Monday, and no crashes for me.

That will play it on Medium settings with decent frame rates. The SSD and the GPU are decent enough for it the only lacking thing is the 4gb ram.

Even on Low settings the game looks pretty decent as a buddy runs it on a HD3000 Video card and that is integrated video LOL.

I did a clean install on a Asus GTX 670 and the card completely hated the 306.02 drivers. Huge frame rate loss for me.

Yeah I did a clean install for the new drivers just forgot to do a clean when I rolled the drivers back. I found it really choppy with freezing and crashing.

I'm running:

Intel Core 2 CPU 6700 @ 2.66 GHz
4.00 GB ram
Radeon HD 6800

Few things could be causing this as I have had some gaming issues in the past.. I run Vista, I know games are horrible on Vista, it was just what this comp came with when I bought it (6 years old this fall).. also my hard drive is at like 448/450 gigs.. I wonder if clearing some room would performance issues.

It also could be the ram. I was having problems with another game.. can't remember which one now, but googling the error code told me that my ram was bad and needed to be replaced. I just ignored it because I grew tired of the game.. but I wonder if that is a possibility.

I do also get random crashes when zoning, I will have to pay attention to the Code number next time so I can follow up what they believe the cause is.

(I can't believe I'm asking this)

Are the perks for the deluxe digital edition worth the extra $20?

Limited use perks which you could just buy anyway, save the $20 and buy some gems and use that for bag space or something worthwhile.

Well, I have to say, I don't like WvWvW. Mostly because I'm not part of a large guild. Playing solo, or even in a group of two or three others is suicide for the most part due to the massive amount of zerging that WvWvW is all about. I'm disappointed in this.

sPvP, though, I love. It takes real skill and attention to come out of it near the top of the end-game rankings. Taking on a large group of mobs is nothing when trying to take on two sPvP enemies. Mobs can be handled in a fairly straight-forward fashion due to understanding how the AI will react (I kite often with my conditionmancer), but human opponents is an entirely different thing. The only thing about sPvP I don't like right right now is the ridiculous Thief skill "Heartseeker." I routinely end up dead due to 4 or 5 hits from a dagger-dagger Thief (14-15k damage) build spamming heartseeker. Yes, I can dodge it sometimes, and yes, many classes have counters, especially ones like the mesmer and warrior, but necromancers are just too slow to deal with it. I am eagerly waiting for AN to nerf it.

I'd really like to be able to whip around and snare people and mobs.
Go into keybinds and bind the about face key... I think that is what it is called, you press it and your character turns around 180 degrees.

Also bind auto loot, move your buttons from 6-0 cause those are impossible to hit. Just make them shift+1, shift+2, shift+3. Put your healing on Q and elite on E then you can hit everything really easy. If you have different stances/weapons bind them to your mouse to make it easy.

I hit 80 early yesterday with my elementalist so feel free to answer any questions and I will try to answer them.

Also one group of 80's can kill about 15-20 in WvWvW no problem. I think I did it for 3 hours last night and died twice, and that is with pretty crap gear. Toughness > anything in WvWvW because people never hit me for more then about 600 and I am as squishy as they come. (I hit for 2-3k)

A tip for people leveling that are having problems. CRAFT. Cooking is an easy 10 levels whenever you want to do it. Use your karma to get materials and google online recipes that use only karma/bought materials. You can get 10 levels for about 50sp.

So what you're saying is that you choose to play Scissors and Rock keeps beating you, so Rock should get nerfed even though you admit that Paper can beat Rock. I guess you should get nerfed too so that Paper can beat your Scissors, right?

This mentality was so prevalent in WoW. I really hope AN stays smart and doesn't bend to that kind of bs thinking and go with the Flavor of the Month Class type of PvP WoW had.

I don't know how magic find works in this game but this is what I have found. During questing I received an augment to add 1% magic find to an item. My brother says ever since he used that on his weapon he sees lots of green drops. I add it to my helm and literally the first trash mob I kill drops a green and a few since then.

Get magic find!
