Definitely true. Also, I was told by a doctor that the number of C-sections also rises depending on at what point in the doctor's shift the mother goes into labour. Doctor wants to go home and labour is taking too long: c-section. Anecdotal, but there are probably supporting numbers out there.
That's what I was going to say. Not even just so the doctor can go home but because our health care system is so taxed they don't have the resources to let nature run its course.
Inducing births and doing c sections is how they keep the line moving.
Why are so many doctors these days doing C-sections and why are women just letting them cut into them? *One week overdue? No problem. We'll just slice into you.
I don't get it.
*Yes, actual case of which I'm aware.
I don't have an actual answer as to why, but there is one particular doctor at the hospital I work at that does significantly more c-sections than the other doctors. He doesn't take higher risk cases or anything like that so tha's not a factor.
It may be that some docs have a lower risk tolerance and decide quicker to go that route? I don't know, but it is somewhat doctor specific.
Has a drunk driver even been in an accident that was the fault of a sober driver? (ie. sober driver runs the red light.) What happens then? Do both drivers get in trouble?
I know of a case where the driver was drunk and was t-boned by a sober driver. The drunk driver was just over the limit (drunk but not insanely so....and no I'm not justifying anything, just explaining), and was charged and at fault for the collision in the eyes of the police. This was because the argument was that while the sober driver erred the drunk should never have been there in the first place.
Now, would that hold up in court? I'm not sure that it would. I would imagine you could fight that successfully.

In the RGMG thread, you guys mentioned that I should phone the employer after I drop of my resume/application to show that I am actually interested in the job. What would I say to them and when would be a good time to call?

That sounds ######ed. Like you, I'm also not tring to put drunk drivers in any sort of positive light, but that just seems like a lawyers dream case.
What if the guy is injured and needs to be compensated, how does that work? To me, that's just insane. If a cop charges him for an accident when the other guy was at fault, that just seems like the police are examing a crash scene and puporsely not investingating the crash properly because the victim is drunk.
To me that's a clear investigation....
-Drunk gets DUI
-Crash gets investigated properly and charges are layed out accordingly

Well that was my comment as well. It's important to know that the police don't determine fault for accidents though. Injuries and things like that are dealt with by the insurers and legal system after the fact. Sometimes police at the scene tell someone they're at fault or not at fault and then the insurers come to the opposite resolution.

One of the things you should discuss is why you want a job at their place. You. Show some knowledge of what the company does and why that interests you. I

I am fine with one call, but I had a fella that would call every few days. After the 3rd time I told him that I was not hiring (not true) and to stop calling.
It's tough, I remember being 16 and trying to get a job. I think is he does it once then that's OK.

Quick question: Why can't I thank posts anymore? Have I been a bad boy?
You have a limited number of thanks available each day. Once you've exceeded your limit, you either have to go back and unthank something you've previously thanked, or wait until you get more.

I haven't thanks anyone in weeks. The button just hasn't been there.
