I don't see how being a fisherman or a logger would make you an expert in life/death situations involving someone pointing a firearm at your head.

I think you're talking out of your ass. |
You're right. I'm talking out of my ass about my own line of work, where yes I have had firearms incidents, attempted stabbings, etc. Do you have ballistics vests as part of your standard work wear. I'm guessing not so don't call me a liar why do people on here who don't know me feel it's appropriate to question my experiences at work?

Why don't you just tell us what you do? Why the mystery?

Anyone can talk a big game anonymously over the internet. People are completely justified to question you until you provide proof of your experience.

Probably because you're being intentionally elusive. You give a non-answer that directs us to a top 10 list, which contains no occupations that would match up with what you just listed.

If you don't want to be questioned perhaps you should work on giving better answers.

because this isn't about me. Has nothing to do with me. Somebody asked if I have ever dealt with life or death situations and the stress of acting and I'm saying yes, more times than I can recount. Do you guys need to phone references?

Nope, just your job title.

Actually it is. You're the one making statements about your ability to perform in a situation, despite the fact that as far as anyone can tell you've never faced a comparable situation.

Have you been forced to act while staring down a gun? Yes or no

ahhhh. The list you may have quoted may not have the same listing,I don't know I didn't look at it. I have no interest in talking about my occupation, that's my right

Because you keep dodging a simple question. It is obvious based on your answers that you are trying to claim yourself to being a former cop (most likely), soldier, forest ranger or some American profession where you carry a gun. So if you are a former cop, then just say so. You would not be the only one on this forum. And, ironically, if you are, it would make your arguments about the standards of training and certification for cops in general stronger.

Also, you seem evasive on the question of whether you have actually fired in a real life, life or death situation. It is that very evasiveness that is causing people to look at your claims skeptically.

yes, not all incidents with guns end in shooting. I have struggled with people with weapons on more than a few occasions, it is a relatively common occurrence (more than should be!)

Then why did you mention it at all? You're the one who first introduced the stress/danger of your non-stated, non-verified occupation into the conversation.

Do we know how far away the cops were from the suspect when they sprayed the street with their pistols?

Video shows about 15 ft. Suspect was standing still when the cops fired on him.
