I drafted a little different than I have in years past. It really seems like every team has a platoon of RB that they could use to keep their backfield healthy all year. So I changed it up and here is what happened

I had to let Autodraft punish me in a 12 team league today and ended up with this mess

QB1 Brees
QB2 Roethliberger
RB1 DeMarco Murray
RB2 Donald Brown
WR1 Victor Cruz
WR2 Malcolm Floyd
Flex David Wilson
TE. Dustin Keller...already injured
Def Buffalo
K. Garret Hartley

Bn. Sam Bradford QB
Bn. Ryan Matthews RB
Bn. Roy Helu RB
Bn. Michael Crabtree WR
Bn. New England Def
Bn. Mario Manningham SF

Overall a team I really don't like. Brees is about the only good pick of that bunch. Painful when I look at the draft and see the adjustments I could have made to boot. Basically 16 rounds of wasted picks, and my TE position is already in trouble.

Mine from the B league, drafted 4th

QB: Brees, Dalton
WR: Julio Jones, D-Jax, Antonio Brown, Lance Moore, Jerome Simpson
RB: Michael Turner, Steven Jackson, Shonn Greene, Ben Tate
TE: Witten, Coby Fleener
K: Hartley
D: Houston

My complete lack of homework started to show in the later rounds, with no real sleeper picks besides Fleener. That and my TE's scare me, kinda forgot about Witten's sliced spleen and only have a rookie in his place. But over-all I'm pretty happy, pleased with my WR's. That and finally landing Brees after 7 years of these things, about dang time.

Got my other draft in over a week, need to study up on some sleepers..

Aside from TE Im pretty happy with how my roster turned out. Thoughts anyone?
Get some RB depth. I don't think Beanie stays the starter all year and Matthews just can't seem to stay on the field for too many consecutive games.

Anyone know a good place to pull rankings from? I'm a rookie at NFL fantasy pools and the rankings I have looked at are all over the place. Just hoping for one that is a good starting point.

On the fantasy portion of ESPN's website there is a link called cheat sheet central. It's a quick and dirty list of top 300 and other cheat sheets for various league formats.

If you have time to pickup a magazine, I always enjoy the Sports Illustrated Fantasy Football issue.

They're always going to be all over the place. In the end it always comes down to how the "experts" feel about any given player, his team situation, injury history, blah blah blah.

Basically find anyone's ranking out there that you're kinda of leaning towards, then make adjustments according to how you feel.

www.fftoolbox.com
www.walterfootball.com
www.espn.com
www.cbssports.com
www.rotoworld.com (has decent depth charts, the rankings are by subscription only I believe)

to name a few. it's nice when some sites break up their rankings into the various different fantasy formats out there, PPR, traditional, Auction etc.

Fantasypros.com does a great job of compiling rankings from across the web and allows you to filter them based on accuracy of the source from prior years.

7 teams, last year we had 5 and you should have seen the teams, quite awesome!

It's just as difficult to win it when all teams are stacked as it is when they are thinned out so in short...Don't hate

Thoughts on this trade??

I would deal Bradshaw & Wallace for Maclin, Colston, & Shonn Greene...

My other RB's are FJax / Spiller / Vereen and WR are Nelson / Washington / Manningham. TE's are Finley & Celek. I would only start FJax, I have his backup and would get another starter, plus add 2 solid WR.

Old: Fjax / Bradshaw / Spiller / Vereen / Nelson / Wallace / Wash / Mann / Finley / Celek
New: FJax / Greene / Spiller / Vereen / Nelson / Maclin / Colston / Wash / Finley / Celek

Have to start 1RB / 2WR / 1TE / 1Flex

Well in my opinion you are improving at WR but you are taking a HUGE step back at RB.

Agreed...I'd always have a starter RB if FJax gets hurt (Spiller) and Greene on bye week. Washington is my backup WR or I flex in Celek. I'm torn...seems like a pretty even deal, just have to decide which lineup I like better.

Starters Old: FJax / Bradshaw / Wallace / Nelson / Finley
Starters New: FJax / Nelson / Colston / Maclin / Finley

Greene's value can also be hit with Tebow poaching TD's.

Bradshaw is also looking like he's on the the downward slope. I like the idea of moving Bradshaw but this isn't the trade to do it.

Speaking of no faith in Bradshaw

Keeper league, I sucked last year so I have first pick. Keepers are Charles, Bradshaw, Wayne and Demaryus Thomas.

Start 2 RB's, 3 WR. With first pick I could get that third starting receiver in Marshall or Stevie Johnson. Or I could go with Matt Ryan at QB, Gates at TE or pick up TRichardson at RB and hopefully trade Bradshaw if he has a good couple weeks. The TRich pick would be more because it's a keeper league. If I get Richardson I'm thinking I'd be able to get a Torrey Smith type WR with my second pick. Picking an unproven rookie is dangerous and I really don't like it, but think it could be the best move. Thoughts?
