That's my list after week 8. Just from my memory with no stats. It may change slightly if I looked at stats

^^ I do think that Winnipeg has the better defence, or COULD have the better defence.
Both Ds are playing well tonight, though Montreal has had some tackling issues.
Montreal tried an onside fake field goal. You have to show it multiple times a game or everyone knows it is coming - Hamilton defended it perfectly
EDIT: Chris Williams has to be the MOP so far for the season. He is crazy.

The amount of protection QBs get in the CFL is ridiculous.
Stewart tackles Lulay in bounds, and momentum and gravity carry them out of bounds. Roughing penalty on a clean hit. Lulay shouldn't slow down while running out of bounds if he doesn't want to get hit...

Off on vacation today, just wanted to say go Riders (though I think the stamps are taking this one).
@northendzone, still think the Bombers' D is worse than Montreal and Hamilton?

Edmonton might get stronger in a few weeks, Jerome Messam has been cut by the Miami Dolphins.

Paul LaPolice got fired today but GM Joe Mack survived..hmmmmm.. i wouldn't blame LaPolice 100% on Bombers' crappy season. Come on the guy have to put up with fragile QB Buck Pierce and had to play a 2nd and 3rd stringer most of the season. Either get rid of Buck Pierce or get someone like a veteran QB as his backup.
In other news,Jerome Messam and that freaking LB from BC last season got cut too. I wonder if they are free to sign with any team.

Is he a free agent? If he is, the Stamps should be all over him. As for Messam, I can't see them having Charles, Boyd and Messam so someone has to go.

Elimimian now has 10 days to sign with another NFL team before his rights revert back to the Lions (6-2), who not only sport the CFL's best record but also the league's top-ranked defence with newcomer Adam Bighill replacing Elimimian at middle linebacker.

I guess both Messam and Eliminian are not free agent. Messam is still property of the Eskimos and Eliminian is still with BC. I agree with one of Boyd, Charles or Messam will have to go. I can see them keeping Messam as he is Canadian and a ratio breaker. I have to say Hugh Charles might be the one to go unless Boyd still doesn't produce at the time Messam is ready to go back to Eskimos lineup.

Solomon Elimimian's agent believes Minnesota will offer him a practice squad spot, he'll take it if no other NFL team comes calling.

Well considering the fact that TSN comments are made by the lowest form of humanity I'd not put too much stock into what they say.
However as I pointed out in the game thread the Riders are in a lot of trouble right now. Early in the season they were putting up points and then the offense would stall and the defense let them blow some big leads.
Now the defense has held teams to 25pts and 17 points in their last 2 games and the O has scored 1 TD in those 2 games.
Durant does make bad decisions in pressure situations and he's being used terribly. It is like the OC in Sask for the last 2 seasons just can't come to terms with the fact that Durant isn't Peyton Manning, hell he's not even Ricky Ray as far as being a pocket passer. He's not a pocket QB who will stand back there and fire bullets to his receivers on quick timing routes. Etch (that was the old OC right?) and whoever they've got this year both refuse to acknowledge the facts of the situation.
Not to mention not using Sheets enough.
Very frustrating time to be a Rider fan. Reminds me of...well pretty much anytime other than 2007 and 89. Except now I'm like an indoor cat who has seen the beauty of the world and then is shut back inside and can't stand it. What was it? 4 straight .500 or better seasons? 5? 6?
Well on the plus side the Riders I remember as a kid are back!! Nostalgia FTW!
