Of all the Tom Clancy books, how come they never made Red Storm Rising into a movie?

Too complex and too long would be my guess.

I don't think Red Storm Rising has quite the same potential as a tentpole film trilogy that LOTR did. Not to mention the lack of suitable crossover media opportunities and the fact that the subject matter isn't dumbed down enough for your average moviegoer.

It'd be better as an HBO limited series, except they'd need one hell of a budget.

HBO that is a good idea.

The same as the batting average except it takes the number of bases reached with each hit into account.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Slugging_percentage

If you retired with one major league at bat and hit a single during the at bat, you'd have a career Slugging Percentage of 1.000. If you retired with one major league at bat and hit a home run during the at bat, you'd have a career Slugging Percentage of 4.000.

Is it a big problem if I cut my grass in this heat? It really needs a cut and it's been so hot lately.

Does anyone know what kind of deals BBQ's have in the fall, and will it be anytime soon?

I've been looking at a new BBQ but thinking I should wait until September or later to buy, thinking maybe they go on sale. Just store it in the garage until the spring.

My current BBQ was a $600 model I picked up for $250 in late September.

Actually, my father in law picked up 4 of them for each of his kids that wanted one.

I needed a cheap BBQ and picked up a 169.99 char broil from xs cargo (I know, I know).

It has been fantastic for the price - I wasn't expecting much, but have been pleasantly surprised so far.

Good build quality, even heat distribution

EDIT: its propane though, not sure if thats what you need

I'm not looking for a top of the line price (but also not a total rip off), I just don't want to go through the hassle of scammers and having randoms driving around my car.

Any idea where to start?
take it to a Mazda dealership and see what they'll give you for it. they're hard up for used 3's right now, i get a new letter in the mail every couple of months or so from Sunridge Mazda wanting me to trade in my '05 3 and they keep sweetening the deal. if i didn't hate the look of the new 3's i'd probably take them up on it. take it to a few dealerships (telling them such of course) and see which one gives you the best offer

Can I buy liquor in Alberta when I'm 18 with a Saskatchewan ID, or do I have to wait until I'm 19?
