I love this tournament. It's a great gauge to see who is coming up through the ranks.

I remember 2002 like it was yesterday. It was still U-19 back then, but they had some girl named Sinclair who scored something like 10 goals and some other players...McLeod, Booth, Moscato, Timko and Chapman. They turned out ok

I don't know if there's a true Sinclair coming through the ranks. Those are going to be so tough boots to fill

, but Leon looks to be a solid player. I really like Sawicki. She's small, but her play making reminds me of Tancredi. They both have amazing vision.

I'm pretty stoked for 2015 because the combination of the current CanWNT veterans with the youngsters at U20 is very exciting.

A combo of both. Canada looked very good, but their matches and results against DPR Korea and Norway will be more of a telling sign in terms of where this team stands.

Hopefully TSN, SN give the under 20's some highlight coverage. Stand behind all our Canadian team sports, and not just hockey. Nice to hear they smoked Argentina, can't really find anything on it outside of the link provided by GirlySports.

Absolutely. Herdman is in Japan to watch. He's got a lot to chose from as 2015 draws closer and for everything between now and then. I'm not sure who is going to move on from the senior squad in the next year. I thought Tancredi for sure, but she said this week she isn't retiring. A big phew from me. I adore her.

The commentator kept mixing a lot of the players during the broadcast, but keep your eye out on Sawicki #16. She's already a full international and it shows. Great player. She's so dominant in the midfield.

Sawiki looks seasoned i would agree. Up front asides from the obvious Leon who is a standout. Richardson stood out for me she is a pretty decent playmaker who knows when to break on the outside and does a nice job drawing the defenders over.

Agreed.

I'm curious how they will fair against DPR Korea. Those girls look HUGE compared to the Canadians. The physical aspect could be a factor. It should be a good match.

Canada lost 2-1 to Norway and it could have been worse. I thought the midfield really struggled today. They weren't supporting the defenders or the forwards very well. Richardson and Wu looked a bit lost. It seems as though they were struggling with the kind of game they wanted to employ. The squad wasn't aggressive enough down the wings and really weren't interested in any sort of tackles.

Although Canada remains second in the group, Norway faces Argentina next while Canada has a huge challenge ahead of them against DPR Korea.

A must win game for Canada tomorrow morning. Canada needs to beat DPR Korea to move on in the tournament or hope that Argentina can pull off a huge upset versus Norway. It'll be tough, but anything is possible.
