Newcastle is a crazy team.
Get outplayed all game long and then get a lucky or amazing goal and manage to get results.
Not sure how they do it with the guys they have but they manage to get a lot more results then their play/talent should warrant.

I consider myself a fan free agent when it comes to the Premier league but Fulham made a strong pitch today to make me a supporter. I think Craven Cottage is a great venue, tickets were not hard to come by (we got the tickets online on Monday), it is close to where I live, and it seemed like a good atmosphere. The team obviously had a great game today and there was probably a little more excitement today being the opening day, but I can see myself going to a lot more Fulham games. I didn't really get a chance to talk to any fans about the Dempsey situation, but I assume that most just want it over one way or another. There were not many hard feelings at the end of the match today.
I have been to Stamford Bridge (and will probably go back), a co-worker has offered to take me to a West Ham game, and I plan to try and see a game at all of the other major venues this year. I really look forward to seeing a Brentford FC game soon because they are close and cheap. I am also hoping to see Ajax and NAC Breda next weekend.
Anyway, I had a great time at Craven Cottage today. It was really cool to be at a home team blow out and sit in the first row. If I had wanted to I could have easily spit on the players. I didn't take many photos but here are a couple:

This was the Sidwell penelty

John Ruddy

Damien Duff

He's already taken a knock eh? I'm assuming it is a signing-related injury, probably didn't take his agent's advice and signed with the ballpoint rather than the quill...

gnarf. Kagawa and De Gea were good, but overall it was pretty bad. Everton deserved the 3 points, no doubt about it.

We are delighted to announce that we have completed the transfer of Emmanuel Adebayor from Manchester City. More to come soon!

lots of places reporting Dawson to QPR as well, disappointing, I understand he doesn't fit in with Kaboul/Verto/Caulker ahead of him, but he can do better than QPR
