Hlavackova/Hradecka are a women's doubles team.. say that 3 times!
-----
If Milos beats Berdych tomorrow I think there's a good chance he can be a top 16 seed in New York which would give him a much better draw.
He might be anyways with Nadal and possible more guys out.

Raonic is showing more killer instincts as he goes deeper into the tournament. He has to be more aggressive instead of the playing safely behind the baseline while he is close to putting his opponent away. Raonic's demeanor has to have more raw and firey emotions...some giddy up. This may bring him to another level...
Nadal is out with tendinitis in his knee...I guess his hard playing style is starting to take its toll.

So if Rafa decided he'd had enough and retired today (which would suck for the sport like when Borg went out early) where does he land on the goat list? I think I put him around 3rd or 4th-ish, below Federer, Laver and Sampras.
There's always specific stats and records you can cherry pick out to bump him a bit higher or lower, but I'd say the story of his career is he was able to play tennis at a higher level than anyone in history for a few years, but paid for it with his body. It's a bit like Gretzky vs Lemieux, where there were seasons Mario was playing better than Gretz was ever capable of, but in the end his back betrayed him and cost him his shot at goat.
Now let's hope we don't actually have to make this a real debate anytime soon. It already feels like the US Open's a bit of a downer, even though the other 3 front runners will be giving us some epic battles.

Milos wins!!!!!
over Berdych 64 26 62.
I thought after losing the 2nd set it would revert back to the old Milos who gets tight and can't win a big match. But he was superb in the 3rd set!
Milos vs Stan tomorrow.
Murray is out, lost to CHARDY!
Men's final 8
(1) Federer
(10) Fish
Wawrinka
Raonic
-----
(6) Del Potro
Chardy
(12) Cilic
(2) Djokovic

Raonic (ATP 19) vs Wawrinka (ATP 26) - Raonic in 3 sets. It is the first time I get a little excited about Cdn players in the tour.

Wawrinka defeated Raonic (2:6) (7:6) (6:4). Raonic's play is continually improving.

Then perhaps over time, he can develop that mental toughness...

This is important because with Nadal out he'll be the 15th seed.
According to the draw, 13-16 does not draw 1-4 until the 4th round!
He will definitely play 3 opponents ranked lower than him.

Was looking over some stats..
Federer won the tournament without losing serve at all!
First time ever it's been done at Masters 1000 level.
He simply continues to amaze!

The US Open draw begins in 30 minutes (10am MT). It will be streamed live on the US Open website.
Milos Raonic will be the 15th seed and we'll see which of the top 4 (Federer, Djokovic, Murray, Ferrer) he'll get in the 4th round. He will also draw someone from 17-24 in the 3rd round.
17. Kei Nishikori, Japan
18. Stanislas Wawrinka, Switzerland
19. Philipp Kohlschreiber, Germany
20. Andy Roddick, United States
21. Tommy Haas, Germany
22. Florian Mayer, Germany
23. Mardy Fish, United States
24. Marcel Granollers, Spain
Who do you want?
Also of interest is where Aleksandra Wozniak will end up in the women's draw.

Hand over some of that stale old roddick! Let Milos hold the door open for him on the way to the retirement home (which still has B. Decker in it so no sympathy for him at all)

It's so weird now.. they put the non-seeded guys in using a computer program and then just draw the seeds.
Del Potro vs Nalbandian first round!
