LOL. Whatever you say. Address the questions.

So by your logic Swansea were even dumber for selling Joe Allen given that he didn't request to be moved and they sold to a direct rival for the final Europe league spot.

Europa league... When United was eliminated from Champions League, for a while there I was resigned to cheering for United to win Europa..

and then I thought, so this is what it feels like to be an LFC fan.

saw someone bring it up

who is Arsenal's next captain, the fact that there is no real stand out candidate is not a good sign

Vermaelan? Scz?

Considering our record with them leaving, I'd hope Park or Arshavin...

However, it will be the Verminator.

I think Verm is the best choice

That depends. More players went out of Swansea than came in, indicating to me that their goal this season is to stay up rather than to compete fr a European spot.

As for your narrow minded attack of my previous comparison, I thoroughly apologize that the scenarios were not exactly the same and up to your exacting standards. I guess I shouldn't have taken a scenario familiar to all of us and compared it to a different sport. All comparisons should be identical. You're right.

Not to mention, it was foolish of me to take into consideration the concept that when players are sold the managers get all of that money to reinvest in players of the same quality.

As for interest in van Persie? I don't know, they weren't really reported other than Juve, but there are clubs out there like PSG and others buying guys like Drogba and Anelka so it stands to reason that other offers exist, however that's speculation.

Marca, which is basically a daily Madrid fanzine says it's much closer to what Spurs have reportedly been asking for

32m Euro's + 6-8m in add ons, which comes out to about 32m pounds

Thank You. Narrow minded ... lol. Your comparison was just downright stupid.

It's like saying Iggy asks to be traded and is moved to the Canucks for 6 1st rounders which by your wacko logic is a silly move as the Flames get no immediate help and therefore have regressed. Absolutely astounding. It even deserves a Locke special teenage kid . I'm done with this sillyness.

Oh crap, if Vermaelen is the next captain does that mean Arsenal sell him on August 15, 2013??

I absolutely love this heightened level of animosity so early in the (build-up to the) season.

Keep it up lads, keep it up.

Lets throw the most vile of clubs, the Citizen's into the mix.

Although, nobody has admitted as of yet, to being a fan.

Understandable.

Song to Barcelona for 15m seems to be all but official ... tough break for Arsenal fans.

There is a City fan on here. I think he lives in LA if I'm not mistaken. Can't remember the handle though.

Goal's saying 30m pounds. Considering how long this has dragged on, this is still good value for Totts. Certainly better than selling him for 40 to Chelsea last summer.

Levy's transfer dealings in the next two weeks or so will be vital but there is a confidence at the club that everything will be resolved to their satisfaction. The chairman always leaves things late, for better or for worse, although the delay in the permanent acquisition of Emmanuel Adebayor has not been his fault. He agreed a fee of £5.5m with Manchester City weeks ago for the striker, who spent last season on loan at White Hart Lane, and Adebayor's personal terms have also been fixed. The problem has been between Adebayor and City over a huge termination-of-contract payment that the player maintains he is entitled to.

From what spurs reporters have said it's basically matching Bale's salary, which is the max Levy will go for now, he moved the goalposts for Bale this year

there have been varying reports on what the issue is between Ade and Man City, some saying he wants the money paid to him that he would lose in salary in the next 3 years between Spurs and City, others have said he wants that amount for City to donate to a charity in Africa

which is why it will happen, because if he stays with City this year the 170k a week counts on their FFP

it would be better for them financially to give him away for free
