So.. let me get this straight... please correct me if I'm wrong and feel free to add others. I think a roster list helps to keep the players straight when they change their numbers

Iginla = Puckluck
Cecil Terwilliger = Flip
BlackRedGold25 = GreenTeaFrapp
Larry MacDonald = Lanny MacDonald
Hans Landa = Scotian Lotion
Sliver = Dess
Notorious Honey Badger = TheU/WhiteOut/CokeMachineGlow/JetsFan

Who was/is Boschi? This guy is way to annoying too be "just" a new member. He's gotta have a history on here.

Seriously, that guy has been banned so many times, I can't keep track of all his usernames.

I kinda doubt that. Lanny has tried coming back before and was banned again. I don't think its him based on posting style.

I agree. They don't have the same posting style (Larry is a lot more quiet and reserved) but they do have very similar names and the same avatar.
I just figured that Lanny/Larry is mellowing out as he gets older.

Iginla = Ren (I think)

Side note: I always liked Ren as a poster and forgot why he was banned. I think it was from some GT flip outs.

I will say that Canuck Trolls are almost non-existent these days, which has been a nice change around here.

Ren was normal at first, then he went crazy. He became a horrible, horrible poster that would only show up to ridicule the Flames after they lost. He deserved a life-time ban, and I wouldn't mind if the mods found him out and banned him again. What a troll.

Puckluck, I honestly don't care if he's back. He contributed a lot of the time, though he was a little wonky at other times, but overall I think he contributed to the board.

I thought flip was a total #######, but he contributed, too, and after his trips to the therapist he seems to have settled down as Cecil.

I don't even remember GreenTeaFrapp being that annoying, at least not compared to this BlackRedGold character, if it's really him. I think I might have blocked GreenTeaFrapp ages ago and forgot about him. I'd remember him if he was like this then.

I like the returning posters, mostly because it's like a mini-game you can play as you guess who is who. The really obvious ones that revert back to their old ways should definitely be banned again, though. I can't wait for Champion to come back. You just know he will, and he'll be super easy to spot.

Yeah, I like it, too. It's fun. The people who are against discussing returning posters are typically posters who have been banned before.

puckluck is easy to spot because of the aggressive-dickish way he posts at times. Another major thing for him he is loves starting threads, that what made "Iginla" puckluck to me. Personality I didn't have a problem with him when he posted as puckluck now he is kinda annoying though.

Previously banned posters in general are easy to notice too... look at the case of Scotian Lotion... most guys when they first sign up have their username, a username they've used and created for many different things. When they sign up again they just randomly try to pick a name... and usually put a corresponding avatar... that fools us!

Iginla = Iginla avatar
Rasalgul = Ras Algul Avatar etc etc

TylerSVT was Lt.Spears.. so he had Lt.Spears in his avatar.

The user Boshi had a blue Yoshi in their avatar at first, which after googling.. Boshi is a blue Yoshi. Pretty basic lame ass stuff. No originality. The whole getting defensive towards me on the last page was hilarious too.

As for Cecil yeah he's alright and seems to have calmed down. He is still a last word freak though. Needs to let that up.

I always thought Lt. Spears was Ren. He just couldn't find anything to like about the Flames.

Hahaha I didn't realize he was banned until now. Surprised that was Tyler though. No mention of his mustang or how much money his family made? Impressive for over a thousand posts...

Haha, yeah this is so true. I actually started a game awhile ago, where when Cecil is in an argument with someone (which is all the time) I'll read the last post from the guy he's arguing with and then based on that post try and guess how many paragraphs Cecil's response to that post will be. I'm actually really good at it.

But he's a good poster, though. His rebuttles may be long winded and very frequent, and he certainly never lets anything go without having the last word, but at least his posts are generally well informed, articulate and he'll stay on topic when arguing.

The alternative is a lot of posters who use so many words and posts to say so little, and they constantly change the topic or move the goalposts when arguing and faced with facts or they get disproven.

Cecil's a very honest debater, in that he takes arguments head on and doesn't pussyfoot around issues, or do any of that deflecting, topic changing BS, that's becoming so common on CP.

Also, I think Cecil has the highest posts edited to posts ratio on CP.

I'm an old user. I've secretly hidden hints in many of my posts.

When you find out which one, let me know.

Gotcha! <-

Yeah I loved Boshi in Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars; a game I really enjoyed while growing up playing with my SNES. Sorry it's not as 'unique' as you require--thanks for the attempt at a personal attack though.

Speaking of puckluck and girls, I wish he'd re-post that picture of him with his girlfriend. Whoa, momma! Amirite, puckluck?!

On a lot of forums, the IP address is visible under the username for moderators/admins. Chances are, the mods here have seen the IP address (or range) for some of the ... celebrities ... discussed in these threads and can tell at a glance when a new name shows up with the same addresses as someone just banned.

On some forums (Wikipedia being one), people with the correct userrights can see what browser you used to access the site, what OS and other technical details. Compare technical details with behavioural, and a returning poster is easy to spot.

Usually, all you need is behavioural evidence. Everyone has a style that someone else will pick up on and associate with the next incarnation of that person.
