Without having read the previous comments, I think the baby monitors are a waste. You'd have to be separated quite a bit, and have your doors all closed to not hear a baby crying. I think what would be more beneficial is a baby noise-canceller device so you can sleep better, or a force field of some kind of to prevent your spouse from hitting you whenever they hear the baby cry.

I went with the dirt cheap walmart carrier. $100. It has held up well in its limited use. Probably about 200k this summer. I am using it for about an hour each weekend. For the six year old i might look at one of those half bikes that attach to your bike kinda like a tandam bike. I saw a guy towing one of those and a chariot. It was quite te train.
With the chariot you can probably sell it 3 years from now for 100 less than you will pay for it used so it might be worth it to do that.

Did you go in 10 times in the first six months? I didn't. I just looked at the monitor. The result was that we only once had to go into her room in the night, and we were glad we did because she had her blanket wrapped around her head.
But you guys win. It's a waste of money. Forget about it. You can hear your baby crying from upstairs during the evening, and you have no desire to find out why your baby is crying in the middle of the night. Congrats.

We have a chariot and use it for biking, jogging and cross country skiing. It's great, but it's expensive. You could find other versions that are bike specific for cheaper. We went with the chariot so we could do all of those activities. But you have to buy all of those separate attachments, which makes it even more costly. Note, if someone just jogs, I'd get the Bob. The chariot is good for biking but isn't nearly as good as the bob for jogging.

He's 2. We got it when he was a 4 months old and used the infant sling attachment. I could see using it for a couple more years. He loves being towed by a bike. I think he will still fit in for a while but I'm not sure how long he will want to ride in it. His older brothers where riding bikes when they were three, but this guy likes to be catered to.

Tool bags make great diaper bags and they're cheaper too! Wifes diaper bag was like $200 and when she's done with it (or goes out of fashion) it's garbage. Mine ($26.99) I can use for tools afterwards. One of the better ideas I've ever had.

This is why I never want to get into the baby product business. Almost every single product recall that you hear of has to do with the stupidity of the user, and not because the product is defective.
I'm sure that manufacturers assume that all products will have to be recalled once, and build that into their pricing.

Probably because the kid pops out of the Bumbo then falls off the counter. If they're belted into the Bumbo, they can't pop out regardless of whether they are on the counter or the floor.
