The Rise Against one isn't out yet, but somehow there are MP3's of it floating around. I'm totally buying it August 8th.

Drove to Field, BC (Yoho valley) this weekend, so we listened to lots of stuff.
The new Roots CD - "The Tipping Point"
Little Brother's new mixtape "The Chittlin Circuit"
 Annie DiFranco (sp.?)
Thievery Corporation - "Richest Man In Babylon"
 Chris Rock - "Never Scared"
Sound Providers - An Evening With The Sound Providers
Nelly Furtado - her newer CD

 All pretty good.

Seven Swans, by Sufjan Stevens (that's some heavy alliteration) -- great Michigan songwriter who's a lot like Elliot Smith, except not dead of self-inflicted stab-wounds.
Franz Ferdinand -- 'Take Me Out' is my favorite guitar-rock song to come out in years. I'll probably overdose in about a week or so, but for the time being, it's great.

Scissor Sisters -- Man, it's like the Beegees meet Supertramp meet Pink Floyd in modernized, sugary-sweet package. Everything a young guy like me wants to believe the 70s were about.

			Hmmm...
 Combat Rock - The Clash
Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds - The Boatman's Call
 American III - Johnny Cash
 Unchained - Johnny Cash
 Johnny Cash at San Quentin

So a heavy rotation of Johnny Cash... which I suppose is always in order.
