XBox Moding

I am looking at doing the software mod (Mechassault Hack) to my XBox and am wondering if any one know of any one or who has done it themselves. I'm just wondering about flashing the bios like in they have to do in the chip mod. Also a good place to download Evolution X would be nice as well.

Don't worry mods it's not illeagal, it just voids the warrenty.

A modded XBox is the most complete home gaming system you can have.

You mod it, add a big hard drive, and then:

1. You can copy all of your games to the hard drive, no more need to switch discs.
2. The Xbox will be a media server to your home stereo, playing all the mp3 and videos from your computer's hard drive
3. You can load emulators for old arcade games and consoles.
4. Somebody's even making a program to turn a modded Xbox into a PVR, like Tivo. Very cool!

All together I have about 1000 games on my modded XBox.

Stupid question that I can't seem to find much of there. Why would one mod their X-box. I'm assuming one reason is to play copied games but I have heard of other potential benefits.
