If it's convenient, I find going at or after 4pm on Monday to Thursday pretty good. Usually the lines have died down by that point.

Ditto. Furthermore, I'm only one man, I dont need to buy enough pasta to run an Italian restaurant for a week or purchase enough roast beef to build an effigy of John Candy out of it.

Costco on a random Tuesday at like 1030am is awesome. The only problem is they really hold back on the samples.

You're right! Damn Calgarians... they're rude, they can't park worth a damn, and they buy up all the milk! Our Costco used to be a nice place to shop til all them Calgarian parasites started coming here.

Deal with it! I love the Costco in Okotoks. Even on the weekends the place is easy to get around and there are never lines longer than 2 carts.

Here's a fun fact - The last time I was renewing my membership in Okotoks I was chatting up the manager dude and he told me about 1/3 customers there are from Calgary. He also told me the Deerfoot Meadows Costco is the second busiest in Canada and that they will easily clear $1 mill revenue on a Saturday/Sunday...and over $3 million a day during the 6 weeks leading up to Christmas!

Costcos are busy but that Bellingham one is one in a million. The lines for gas are insane with BC plated autos and jerry cans...lots and lots of jerry cans. Who would have thunk there were that many jerry cans.

Except for the fact they help the local economy with paying sales tax.

Now, Albertans who shop in WA state...now that is a no win situation for locals.

The Ironic thing is - Canadians paying higher prices in Canada is actually what helps keep the prices low for people in the US.

A good amount of time it is actually cheaper to buy the same item at Wal-mart in bulk.

Only thing I like about Costco is the stuff only they get. If I don't have to go to Costco for a certain item then I'm buying it at another store.

That being said, I'm going to Costco in about 20 minutes. If I see any americans there, I'll corn 'em for shopping up here and clogging up my line.
Sure enough.. Curse those sneaky Americans!

Apologies for lack of a better photo editing app.

I haven't set foot in a Costco since I was 6 and went there with my aunt.

[shrug] I'll pay for the convenience of getting to enjoy my day instead of spending it at Costco.

You know, when I cross the international bridge, my car gets a cavity search when I get into America, when I come back to Canada they just say, Okay, have a good day!

But I seldom complain about it.

I've been told in the past that the deerfoot meadows costco was the busiest in North America. Maybe between people like me that are using Okotoks now, and the Vanvouverites going to Bellingham it has dropped a couple of rungs.

Bellingham has been a Vancouver suburb for years. Even it's TV station survived on Canadian commercials and programming and I believe it was Canadian owned at one time. I'll have to phone my brother in Bellingham and see if he's cursing us too.

I have too.

Half their cuisine is dairy based, plus they can burn through even more milk when they make their pander cheese. Good stuff, I might add.
