So yes, it appears to be blocked for you, but I think that you'll be fine after the Olympics. Which is good news when you're a Brazilian trying to follow the Flames from such a distance!

With the olympics over, I try the fan 960 And 590 on tune in radio and it still tells me it's unavailable and directs me to a station from the states. Wtf? I had no problem for years but now it's not working, hopefully they didn't block it for those outside Canada, or else what'd be the point of these apps? The Rogers radio app hasn't worked in a long time. help please!

Powdery Mildew is a common problem on bluegrass lawns in shady areas. The mildew fungus, Erysiphe graminis, attacks the surface of the grass leaves, developing a fine, fungal growth that resembles a white powdery substance on the leaves (Figure 9). In dense shade, Powdery Mildew causes the affected areas of leaves to turn yellow, eventually resulting in the yellowing and dying of lower leaves or even in the death of plants.
Powdery Mildew develops in areas of dense shrubbery or trees where there is poor air circulation, considerable shade, and high humidity. It is favored by temperatures of 60-72 F. In many cases, Powdery Mildew can be controlled by selective pruning of shrubs to allow better air circulation and greater penetration of sunlight. Where Powdery Mildew is a problem, avoid susceptible grass varieties or plant alternate ground covers.

Otherwise known as a 3/4" check valve. You can get something like that at any plumbing supply house... ie. Crane Supply, Emco, etc.

There has been a noticeable decline in the CP civilization. I don't go to the FoI forum any more, it gets scary in there.

The sooner the team becomes competitive the better the posting will be.

To be able to keep somebody from going to a registry and paying $10 to find out the person's name and address? Yes, the license plate is viewable in public; but that is out in the real world. Online you could have somebody trying to get revenge for something posted. A picture can be tied to an account for a very long time; or possibly forever.

If anything, I'd say we're below the internet average.

I was under the impression that with Alberta's FOIP you couldn't get a name and address from a registry anymore.

I posted earlier in this thread regarding my car. It looks like it is actually the starter that needs to be replaced. The mechanic said it would be $570 to replace (labour, parts and GST). Does this seem reasonable?

Starter motor is $190 (with core exchange) on autopartsway. Dealer MSRP is $280 from what I can find. Say 2 hours labour (not sure what it's booked at), $570 doesn't seem crazy. Poking through some of the Mazda forums the bolts can be a PITA to get at.
You may have more help posting this in the general automotive thread.

I suppose that would be the better place to ask. Realistically I am sure it won't be much different elsewhere and this place is walking distant to my house and my car is already there. I'll probably just go that route.

I've had the privilege of meeting a lot of CPers in the real world. I would guess roughly 100? I can't think of any that I met who I would say were anything other than good people. Sure, some of us disagree about politics or what to buy for a newborn baby. Some even disagree about which hockey team to cheer for! At the end of the day though I would say we're way below average in the number of dinks.
