Yes, but the deal was agreed upon as well, just awaiting his signature.

Right. It's been done a thousand times over, no need to reach outside of footy to find prime examples... such as my post on the same page

Mourinho says Kaka is available to AC Milan... should help him pay Totts asking price for Modric.

I'm really high on Lucas and watch him a lot in brazil. It's too bad he ent to psg, wont get to see him much unless it's champions. He great talent, highly skilled and a hard worker. He should do well.

I am pissed ... not exactly because he didn't sign with United, I can live with that. But seeing such a decent player at City will be a huge pain in the behind. If Sinclair really joins City as well, I'll be absolutely furious.

They finally have competition for buying players.

United have already had competition for a couple of years now ... otherwise they would have easily bought superstars like Carroll, Downing and Henderson.

Interesting bit of news, most British financiers thought United's share offering was massively overvalued and it appears they were right. They started the shares off at $20, lowered it to $14 because $20 wasnt going to work and it appears that their value is actually significantly lower than that.

Quote:
United's current share price is $14, but millions of shares have been bought by the seven banks underwriting the IPO, and PrivCo calculated their true value is just $4.97 each - giving United a value of around $800 million rather than the $3.3 billion the American family had wanted.

With regards to Rodwell, he has never shown any consistency to match the hype

I don't see him getting many games this year

I think it's more for the future, and the only thing it will help this year is the homegrown quota

I imagine United didn't want him, which is why I was surprised because the rumors have been around forever

Fergie/Moyes have a good relationship and do a lot of transfers together

The season hasn't even started and already CP's EPL faithful are in fine form. This should make for an interesting season - interesting and very entertaining (in this forum at the very least).

There's hope that the nightmare could end soon ...

If Manchester United shares get any lower, expect Glazers to grab first chance of an exit

Reports suggest that Arsenal and Manchester United have agreed a 22m fee for Robin van Persie, who is set to sign a 4 year contract at Old Trafford.
