Chad Johnson just made this Hard Knocks the best ever
Quote:
The arrest of Dolphins receiver Chad Johnson reportedly was precipitated by an argument over a receipt for a box of condoms that his wife, Evelyn Lozada, found in Johnson’s car.

Davie Police Captain Dale Engle reportedly said that Lozada confronted Johnson about the condoms. Engle also said that Johnson allegedly head-butted Lozada in the vehicle when the couple arrived at their driveway.

I'd be shocked if the Dolphins don't release him by the end of the week. There was already talk about it recently, and this will probably force them to get rid of him. Smooth move!

That's the first I've heard of them considering cutting him. By all reports he has been decent in camp. He is only 2nd or 3rd on the depth chart and Philbin won't want distractions so he might be done now.

Obviously this off-field issue will put Johnson’s job at risk. The Dolphins released a statement saying, “We are aware of the situation and are in the process of gathering all relevant information.”

Last week on HBO’s Hard Knocks we saw Dolphins management get upset at Johnson after he cursed his way through a press conference. They said that he didn’t reflect the team well and then he needs to “get in line.”
I was watching Around the Horn and PTI during the week and both were talking about him being cut if he didn't change his tone soon. Getting arrested for battery very well could be the final straw.

For a guy without any previous trouble with the law or issues like this, makes you think his bad decisions started by marrying a woman he met on twitter (7 weeks ago no less), and a reality tv star from Basketball Wives to boot.

Interesting to see how this plays out..HBO execs I am sure are rubbing hands with glee.

I love Seattles new jerseys. Really bold and interesting. Love the Oregon inspired bright/neon green

Solid Seattle win. Russell Wilson came in for the second half and threw a TD to Edwards and ran for another and looked really poised.

Its only one game, but Tavaris Jackson is already, and not completely surprisingly, looking like the odd man out, especially given Carroll's eagerness for roster moves. I am sure he'll get a half in each of those next two preseason games, but he's a known quantity and a average NFL QB who has the ability inconsistently, but not sure, if Wilson looks as good as he is, will Carroll want him as third stringer.

Yeah I watched that too, basically Philbin told him he has to represent the organization in a better manner, which is why this incident could be the final straw.

And just for the record, I get most of my Dolphin info from Omar Kelly's twitter feed. I really like his style, he's a straight shooter.

Johnson was just released from jail. $2500 bond and no contact with his wife. Big decision for Philbin and the Fins here.

No surprise, I think Philbin isn't going to put up with talented knuckleheads, let alone guys who act that way but have declining skillsets.

Moss will shut up and probably do reasonably well for the 49'ers. Unlike Chad Johnson, he has a pretty high football IQ, runs good routes, and still has the size that presents issues for the opposition. He at least has a history of responding to strong leadership, which is something Harbaugh seems to have instilled in San Francisco.

Owens, is tough to say, he is older, but was still pretty productive the last time he played. He needs the money in a bad way, and that could be the ultimate motivator for him to have a good season, and be a good team guy so he gets another oppurtunity. Seattle isn't a small market, but it's sort of ignored by major media, so the chance to make headlines is a bit less there too.

As long as Moss doesn't get frustrated with not being the #1 option every play and quit on his routes. Probably going to be a very run heavy team, 4 rb's fighting for touches, 3 after Gore gets hurt for his usual couple of games lately. I hope for the 49ers everyone that signed is there for the team first and stats second. Moss, Crabd00sh, Manningham, Vernon Davis, Gore, Hunter, Jacobs will all want their share. Harbough will have his work cut out for him too keeping all egos in check.

Terrell Owens is older, but still an athletic freak. I hope he does well there this year. Just not against San Fran

He has been dating her for a few years. When I followed him on twitter last year they were engaged.

Quote:
On November 16, 2010, Ochocinco proposed to Basketball Wives star Evelyn Lozada, whom he had been dating since earlier in the year. Because of the engagement, Ochocinco announced on February 9, 2012, that he would change his last name back to Johnson so Lozada would not have to take Ochocinco as her last name.

Johnson "come on baby you know Chad has been dropping passes in practice, I was just getting some my extra grip on, you know for my fingers is all''
"Now how about some nice ice cold Cherry Kool Aid, u know its Chads favorite"

Chad when you can't catch passes last season from Brady the career is over.

I watched the first 45 minutes of the game at the gym and kept finding my attention wavering to the next TV over, which was showing Fox News. That's how bad of a game it was.

Last night, 12 MLB teams scored more runs than those two teams combined.
