Yo, check this out: men drive a car like this. Do, do, ch. Do-be-do, do-be-do-be-do.

Yeah, but women drivers, see, they drive a car like this. Dee-da-dee, a-dee-da-dee-da-dee-da-dee.

If you aren't a little bigoted towards SOME group/ethnicity/whatever, please post a picture (or a series) of you being chummy/non fearful of every possible caste of people.

Legit question for people, why do women tend to give up all responsibility for driving whenever possible? My mom has driven my dad maybe 10 times, I can not recall a single instance where a female friend drove when her boyfriend had a car, and my girlfriend owns her own car and still only drives with me as a passenger under protest. I have a theory that it's because men live in worlds that very often they cannot control, and the act of driving is one of the last places where he has total control over his destiny.

So what's up, ladies. Why can't you drive? If there was really any truth to notion that women are somehow 'better drivers' because they get into fewer collisions, you'd think that they'd be unwilling to let anyone else behind the wheel ever. But no, women get into fewer accidents because they by and large avoid driving whenever possible.

That's a good question.

Whenever my husband and I go somewhere, he drives. He always has. At first it was because I didn't have a car when we were dating and then when got together, we both used the vehicle(s). But I don't know why he never lets me drive?

brownah: If you read this, next time: I'm driving!

On a side note: I let everyone in when they are merging in.

I don't know why, as I am a pretty open minded guy, but whenever I see a guy being driven around I think:

A) I wonder what wound/injury he has that forces him to allow her to drive

B) What a p***y

I mean, I'm not a bigot, but I can't help my mind from thinking that exact train of thought everytime I see a (non-senior) dude being driven by a woman.

I blame 1952.

I only let other women merge, it is part of the unspoken woman code we have. Maybe you should have your wife or GF drive and you would have more luck in that respect.

The unspoken woman code is to disobey traffic rules? Well I guess that would explain a lot.

You've gotten a lot of pretty rude responses, but honestly they've all been posted by dinks. They act as if it's preposterous to suggest that a certain group may exhibit certain traits if said traits may be miscontstrued as racist/sexist/etc. Fact is certain groups exhibit certain traits for all kinds of different socio-economic reasons. To point it out isn't racist/sexist.... mere observations. Is it so crazy to think that females as a whole may be predisposed to merge blocking for some reason? No. No... not at all. I've witness it repeatedly. Anyhow.. don't let these snivelling little dinks make you second guess yourself for a second. It's a very real problem. Cut them off and smile at them in your review mirror. It's extremely effective.

I feel this much angst towards anyone who drives an Acura MDX/RDX....woman or man (although it seems like most are women). The most oblivious drivers ever.

I've already had one drive into me at a stoplight, and seem to have a close call with one every week or two. I'm not sure why, but they are always changing lanes blindly, backing up without looking, tailgating, or always being on the phone. They aren't rude or aggressive....just oblivious.

Ok… go ahead… call me sexist or misogynistic or whatever.. It’s not true though. I love women… I just don’t like some aspects of their driving.
Usually I notice people are ruder on city roads over what we deal with in towns out in rural Alberta, no matter what the sex of the driver is.

It's almost like everyone is in a hurry because they didn't wake up 5 minutes earlier.
