I thought this was the forum where everyone makes more money than me? If you dont want to give a thoughtful gift you deserve to spend more.

As a swimmer, they're using one of these:
http://www.speedousa.com/watershed-chamois.shtml
It is like another user said: a Shamwow. When you're doing 20-30 dives a day and have to get every little drop of water off everytime, these things are awesome! It sops it up and then you wring it out and presto! It's dry again!
Much better than a towel that stays wets after one use. They would need to bring 20 towels a day!

I like that they get to go into a hot tub right afterwards.

$50 for a wedding gift?
He said the groom is going all out & that includes an open bar.
If you're bringing a date, then $200 is the starting point.
$50 probably doesn't even cover his dinner plate

I always thought that the minimum gift would be to cover the cost of the food and drinks that you consume with some obvious exceptions.

I need to go to Cougar Ridge wondering if Canada Olympic Road is open as it shows on Google. Will cut quite a bit of time off my trip if I can go that way.

If the bride and groom can't afford to go all out then they shouldn't. $50 a person is a pretty good gift. If you throw a wedding that is "all out" then that's your choice, but you shouldn't expect guests to pay for that luxury.

Yes the road is open. Not sure how much time it saves with all the speedbumps/switchbacks/stop signs.

$50 cash seems like the "Bare Minimum" to me. If you got a really thoughtful gift for $50 then thats different.

The manuals I can find online seem to indicate there should be a battery to power the water pump etc. I don't think there are any interior lights, unless the are masterfully camouflaged.
The cable comes into this box from the hitch.
Inside there is a converter
and then there is a circuit breaker, which is located inside the same box as the water tank.
There are no other external or internal compartments on the front of the trailer that have anything else of note. There is a compartment on the back that doesn't have anything in it that I can tell that would house a battery.
Does this trailer just not have a battery? If not, does that mean it will only pull power from the truck battery?

Rathji, call Hobo Camper and they can probably tell you. They are a good little shop. As an added bonus you happen to know a guy who has torn out and completely re-done the cabling system on a Jayco trailer! (Mines not Jayco, but its the same system)
The tent trailer is pretty much perfect. Its still a tent, and somewhat legit car camping, but gets you off the ground. Mine has a furnace as well, which means camping early/late is an option, whereas before it gets pretty cold in September or October!

Yeah, I checked today and it has lights inside, plus the fridge seems to be electric and propane.
In that set up, it would have a battery, wouldn't it?

I got married almost 6 years ago, and have not bought a wedding present since.
That crap has uses (after everything possible gets returned).
Give cash.

That's crazy talk. Who can afford to pay for what you drink at an open bar? Not me, that's for sure.
Really though, are people expecting that? You come to a wedding, bring a date, and they expect a 200 dollar espresso machine or something?
Haven't we learned from TV that wedding gifts will inevitably be regifted or stored in a dusty closet?
And another thing... why do water polo players wear those stupid hats? They look like baby bonnets.
