Good to hear. I really thought at the very least that Herdman would be suspended and at the worst that Tancredi would as well.

Heat of the moment or not, players really have to watch what they are saying publicly.

Thank God Rosie MacLennan won that gold, otherwise we might finish at 0. Our performance at present is tracking to be worse than Beijing, which has to disappointing.

I don't know why anyone would hate the Americans for that game. I don't blame them for anything that happened. The only thing that you could pin on them was the counting to the ref that Wambach did, but even then I don't blame her for that. They needed a goal and they needed all the time they could get to score that goal, that's just competitive nature showing.

It's no different than going to a ref after a whistle in hockey and telling the ref that someone is cheating off the draw. Am I going to chirp you if I hear you doing it? You bet, but that doesn't make it something I will hate you over.

Nobody blames them for what happened. Their piss poor attitude after the fact is what is mostly bringing on the hate towards them.

We'll get 3 golds like we always do.

3 in Atlanta
3 in Sydney
3 in Athens
3 in Beijing

Watching China v Russia in women's boxing...that was tough to watch. They looked like two drunken women attempting to punch each other, and very sluggish at the end. Very few good hits.

Great to hear that a couple of our athletes reach the podium for a Silver and Bronze.
With the heartbreak of Canada's Womens soccer screw job, Clayton's boxing screw job and Whitfields crash.
The program and Canadian Olympic fans needed some good pick me up of news.

The temptation is just to detest them generally for snatching away what looked like a monumental win from Canada and for winning a game they only led for 30 seconds. Nothing personal or about a particular event. It was a war, and defeat hurts. In fact, I want to hate Alex Morgan after scoring that goal but at the same time...

Alex Morgan is going to be the face of womens soccer for a long, long time to come. I just hope she doesn't follow the lead of previous US stars Hope Solo and Landon Donovan. Seriously, the amount of endorsements shes going to get will be pretty incredible: she's young, talented, American and incredibly hot - a gold mine.

I would find it interesting to know just how many Canadian fans on CP cheer against the Americans while watching the Olympics.
I can say I do on most occasions but not everytime. There are certain USA competitors that handle winning or losing with grace and you just get a sense they are good people. It has nothing to do with Americans as a country, it only has to do with the way some American athletes are arrogant when competing on a International level. It just doesn't sit well with me.
Perfect example is there was an American gymnast that came in 4th or 5th in the Vault and he was genuinely happy for the succes of who medaled. That to me is what the "spirit" of the Olympics is about.

So what else is on tap for today regarding Canadian athletes? I find CTV's website is brutal when trying to figure out what is going on.

Potential Bronze in wrestling, and what else?

I cheer against them just like i cheer against the Oilers, Canucks or Leafs.and the effing RANGERS!

Most of my hate comes from the completely one sided broadcasting NBC and ABC did and that horrible U-S-A chant that happens from time to time.
