Can you imagine the time if he was a better starter?

That would be kinda impossible too with those long legs. Maybe he could do the Inspector Gadget wear his legs would go from short to long from 10-30 metres.

4 year old article predicts a lower limit of 9.44-9.45 in 100m.

NBC's coverage of the Men's 100m Final will be in two parts, to allow for commercials and a halftime show.

That model predicted it would be another 70 years before someone hit 9.58, so it's lower limit is probably wrong too.

You are going to eat your words when he wins gold in Rio for running backwards, sideways and upside down!

Watching Men's Boxing right now and I have to say it is disgusting the way some of these boxers cheats and the referee just let them get away with it. Holding and other stuff and it is just losing the flow of the fight. Wow, i wouldn't pay so much money to watch the fight if the referee and judges are so freaking inconsistent.

Disgusting decision! The Italian won against the Cuban after holding on to the Cuban boxer all freaking third round. I had enough of this freaking Olympic boxing.

I just watched that boxing match, that was just terrible. Russ Amber said before the decision that the Italian would win because you could tell all along who the ref and judges wanted to win.......and he was right. The fix was in. What a disaster.

A friend of mine told me the other day the Canadian referee on Kazakhtan-Filipino boxing match made a boo-boo as well. He took 2 points off the Filipino boxer even though the bigger Kazakhtan boxer keeps wrestling him to the floor. The Filipino boxer lost by one point on a decision.

It is disgusting that the holding, wrestling and so on are being let go by the referees. It's not like they can't see what is happening on the ring, the way they freaking move. As much as I like watching boxing, i really think it is time to get rid of it on Olympics if they will not pick a competent referee and judges.

Vamos Andy Murray! Thx for keeping the career golden slam out of Federer's hands and solely in Nadal's!

Nobody's watched Olympic boxing since 1988 when

A) Roy Jones got robbed.

B) A Canadian won gold.

Now this time I may make an exception if a Canadian makes the semifinals and is guaranteed a medal. They have 3 chances.

Canada has not medaled in boxing since 1996.

Pro boxing is near dead in terms of coverage it receives compared to the past. Time to get boxing out of the Olympics, perhaps.

Probably - it was the closest thing I found on Google to the discussion at hand though. And even if it wrong on the low end, is it to far wrong that a sub nine second 100m dash is possible? Probably not.

Y'all remember when Donovan Bailey won gold in the 100m? I was still a couple of days away from being born, but I heard it was a pretty bitchin' time to be Canadian.

I'm watching the hammer throw.....

Why are the field disciplines so specialized. Doesn't the shot putter, hammer thrower and javelin thrower have the same build? Shouldn't a guy be able to do all 3 and win multiple medals? What about a long jumper and a triple long jumper. Is the Carl Lewis 100m/long jumper extinct? Could Usain Bolt do the long jump?
