There is a Valvoline commercial running on the radio where two guys are talking.
- Are you going to put used oil in the Mustang?
(Obnoxiously loud motor revving sound)
- Valvoline uses bla bla blah oil
(Obnoxiously loud motor revving sound)
- Wow!, that sounds great, maybe I should use Valvoline
(Obnoxiously loud motor revving sound)
- If you rev that motor again I'm boing to stick your hand in the fan belt
Anyone notice the new "Hi, I'm Alison Redford" commercials? They are running all day long on 660, 770, 960, 100.9, 107 and I imagine every other station that I haven't been listening to. I must hear it 20 times a day, I assume they are running 100's of times a day between all the stations.
There is a new one on TV for Saneal Cameras with two chicks sitting on a patio talking about a camera when two guys come by. The "acting" is atrocious at best but the one Asian chick seems to not be able to talk with out having her head sideways. The entire commercial is so bad.
If I was in the market for a Ford right now, I'd deliberately not buy it from universal because their radio ads are so damn stupid and annoying. I want to de-bark the loser that voices them.
That's a terrible reason to not buy from such a quality dealership. They care so much about the customer that after taking a deposit for a factory order they go out of their way not to bother you by providing updates and when the car comes in they even kindly let the salesmen drive it around for a few days to break it in for you without even letting you know the car has been delivered. AAA dealership!
Not sure if it is just me but I hate the trend in commercials to do half second clips of things with overdone sound effects. One that comes to mind is a commercial for taking a cold pill. You see them open the cupboard, grab the box, open the box, pop out the pill, fill a glass etc all about half a second shot of each step along with creak, swoosh, pop, gurgle.
Not sure why it bugs me so much but it does and there are more and more commercials doing this.
Here is an example, it is when he is making the coffee.

Does anyone listen to 660 News? There are a couple of commercials for the Bingo Barn that frequent 660. They literally make me want to violently lash out at my radio, they are so awful & annoying. Someone needs to slap whoever writes them.

There you go. You should have clued in when they decided to use a moron to advertise themselves.
I just don't get that type of advertising. Like the Fountain Tire commercials that have been running for years with that guy that is so stupid he probably can't tie his shoes. That's a great way to present yourself to the world. "Hey, everybody! We hire people that are so unbelievably stupid, that they don't understand why we have competitors' ads on a bulletin board in our showroom! Come buy tires from us! Our installers are probably just as stupid, because after all, we hired this idiot as our spokesman!!111!"
The Laughing Cow commercial that's on during the Olympics has taken the singing-and-rapping-3D-animated-animals genre of commercials to a new low. And I say that as someone who likes their cheese.
Just watched an LG commercial for a washing machine that does a load "twenty minutes faster". It says: "What would you do with an extra twenty minutes?".
Really? Do people watch their effin' laundry?

Actually that is my single biggest complaint I have with my front load washer- how long it takes to run a load of laundry through compared to my old top load machine. When you have a family and have 5 or 6 loads to run through on a Saturday- it would be nice for it to take two hours less to get it all done.
