this IPO thing is done in typical Glazer fashion. I am so fed up with this bunch of #######s, it's impossible to find appropriate words for it.

Carroll has refused the transfer to West Ham, and has been named in Liverpool's squad for Europa league in Belarus tomorrow but has been dropped due to injury.

I heard West Ham was prepared to pay him the same wages too. If they were to be relegated they'd become Portsmouth 2.0

Crappy news. I could care less about Arsenal succeeding, but the kid has shown he can dominate and England really needs a young center midfielder to take that role. He'd own the position for 10 years.
Shame, if him and Cleverly's careers are ended prematurely or never reach top class due to injury.

British versions of Owen Hargreaves. Its sad, but I think its pretty close to already over for Wilshere.
How many players could come back and play at their previous levels, or even improve for that matter, after sustaining an injury of this magnitude and being out of the game for this length of time?

Theres no bait, my comparison is that Owen Hargreaves has spent so much time injured that when he tries to come back he cant maintain the same level as he used to, and he is frequently re-injured. Granted, hes been injured a lot longer than Wilshere.
Wilshere will have to go, what, a year and a half without playing a single competitive match? How many players come back from that kind of absence and just pick up where they left off?
Hes only 20, so theres obviously hope for him, but its a big ask.

Oh I totally agree, he's often injured, and Clev/Jack are looking to follow that path...
I'm just confirming, they're the British versions of British Owen?

You're saying that because he played for England? I dont know, and I dont really care, my point was that for a top level player to overcome such a serious injury that keeps them out of the game for such a length of time, expecting them to come back and be the players they were before seems highly optimistic.

Wait, did I hear that Abou Diaby was going to cover for Wilshere on that report? How long can that last for?

ya, things didn't go great in the early 2000's no one denies that
to not realize though that at this point they are basically equal though would be foolish (again depending on the transfer window this summer)
potential losses of Modric/RVP offset each other
Vertonghen/Gylfi and Podolski/Giroux are the big additions both teams have made so far, with both expected to make a couple more

An agent has made the claim that Juventus have already sealed a deal to sign Arsenal striker Robin van Persie.

The gap is narrow - the difference last season was you guys fell apart - we did too to a lesser extent at the end of the season. I think the result at the Emirates played a major part in that.
However, over the past 16 years, that was pretty much the best you have been while we were at our worst.

and for Arsenal it's been all downhill since Henry/Viera left, with no sight of it going up as long as the same manager and ownership stay

I think Totts should be more concerned about their current manager than the Gunners.
