I like iCloud since I use a mac. This also lets me use my Photo Stream and all on the one account rather then Google Sync for some stuff and iCloud for others.

Decided to go with the iCloud route, figured I could switch to Google if I didn't like it. So far I love it! Thanks guys.

Bump!
I finally caved and sold my old netbook and picked up a 32GB Black Wi-Fi model. The screen is amazing and looks better than my iPhone 4S.

For the record I haven't used a PC in years so I have no clue how well they handle iCloud stuff.

iCloud on the PC is fairly awesome, believe it or not. It syncs well with Outlook for contacts and calendars, and various browsers for bookmarks, your Photo Stream becomes a push-synced upload and a download directory (which you can put in your Dropbox Pictures folder, which is a kick ass solution), oh and it supports older PC's including Vista machines, unlike Apple who refuses to support perfectly good Snow Leopard machines (64 bit only on the Mac).
I actually keep a PC VM running iCloud specifically for the Photo Stream to folder feature, since Apple also effed me over by making the version of iPhoto that supports iCloud Photo Streams incompatible with the photo libraries supported on Snow Leopard, so I can't use one central iPhoto library for all my machines, and it's ######ed having to use iPhoto on my one Lion machine just to access photos from Photo Stream and subsequently manually add them to the Snow Leopard iPhoto master.
Sheesh.
Long story short, iCloud is well worth checking out on the PC if that's what you run.

Anyone else having issues with wifi? Since I bought mine, I've noticed it doesn't have the same reception as my phone and other devices in the house. I did some googling and found that if you hold it in landscape mode with home button on the right, reception quality gets better. Seems to be a common issue with the wifi only units. I'm definitely going to take mine back and see if a different one is any better, just haven't got around to it yet.

Sorry to bump this thread again.
Is anyone using a screen protector on their new iPad? If so, which one?
I want to keep the screen in good shape but I don't want it to affect the screen too much.

I don't use a screen protector and it's as good as new. The Dodocase protects it enough for me.
If you do decide to get one, use Ghost Armor. They have a kiosk in Chinook.

No screen protector for me. I have zero interested in having anything occlude the nice display or impact the responsiveness and feel of the touchscreen.

Completely agreed. Even on iPhone, no screen protector. Not needed IMO.

I don't have a screen protector on either my iPhone or iPad and haven't had any issues and my phone has taken a tumble or two when I'm out hiking/camping/hunting. I'm with the poster above me, with my iPad especially, I wouldn't want anything over the screen it's too beautiful to have distractions.
My iPhone I'm looking at one of those LifeProof cases that are water, dust, snow and shock proof but I really don't think anything outside of a case (like the Dodo) is needed for the iPad. But they do have an iPad lifeproof case coming soon I believe if you are really worried about it.

The LifeProof case is insane! It has no screen protector, and seals so tightly to the front face of the iPad that it forms a watertight seal, so it's just glass. I haven't seen one in real life, but they claim it's good for six feet underwater.
I'm actually debating if I need a case other than the smart cover at all. My only concern is the camera on the back of the iPad getting scratched up at this point; I don't know if I can deal with that.

I watched a video where they turned on the video camera of the iPhone and just started throwing it across a parking lot without a single scratch or dent.
The waterproof thing scares me a little but it would be a nice protection for a drop in a puddle or something, don't know if I would take it swimming.
I might purchase one just to see if it actually is what they claim. If I do I will let people know for sure! For the cost of the device it seems like a decent investment.

Hrm..never owned a tablet before, but just ordered a 16gig WiFi Ipad3 as a present for my mom. She saw one of our relatives who brought a Playbook or something to a party once, and really liked it and always expressed some interest in getting one, so it should be a nice surprise. Heh, I'll probably get a bit of value out of it as well, so it wasnt too hard of a purchase.
Always been sort of sceptical of tablets/Ipads, and probably would never have bought one for myself, hopefully it lives up to my albeit low expectations. Either way, I doubt my mom will be the harshest of critics heh.

Should I be upgrading my iOS to 6? I just got a notice saying it was available to download.

I regret updating. No more YouTube or Google Maps and no sound on any of my gaming apps. Would not recommend until they fix it.

Agreed. It's a decent upgrade. I'm trying to decide right now if it actually got faster, or if they just tweaked a lot of the animations to make it look faster. Either way, it feels good in the hand.
