The "Quick-Question" Thread- please see guidelines in 1st post
Sometimes I have stupid little questions that can probably be answered in one post, but I don't think they necessitate starting a new thread. If other people experience this as well and Google isn't helping, maybe this could be a good spot to ask.
My first question is this: I need one of those infrared door sensors, like when you walk into Radio Shack or whatever and the little chime goes off. I've looked everywhere, but can't seem to find anything. Anybody know where I can pick one of these up?
Mod Edit- see guidelines below:
- Please do not be afraid to start your own thread; or to see if there is already an existing thread.
- If your question is more than 2 sentances, it isn't a "quick" question and should have it's own thread or can go in an existing thread.
- If you think that more than 2 people might reply, or that a reply would be more than 2 sentances- once again this isn't the right thread.

Try Active Electronics, or MRO Electronics.
They'll both have them.

They don't seem to, although I can't be sure about Office Depot since they won't answer their GD phone.

They went out of business, however their phones just seem to ring and ring.

Something involving a catcher's mitt, olive oil and a chicken baster. The rest of the details are still a bit fuzzy at this point.

I guess my question can go in this thread also:
I will be visiting our nations capital for 3-days in August. Unfortunatley neither myself or my partner have had time to plan this out.
Could you guys get me rolling with the must sees and dos.
Cheers.
