Hard to believe, but ridiculous money if true.

GM jersey deal with Man United worth $600 million - source

Under the seven-year deal, which makes Chevrolet the jersey sponsor starting in the 2014-2015 season, GM will pay $60 million to $70 million a year -- at least double the current fee paid by insurance broker Aon, said a person with knowledge of the contract who asked not to be identified. GM also will pay the club a $100 million activation fee, the person said.

400 million in debt, and the #####ing Glazier's are going to keep 1/2 the monies raised with this IPO.

Oh you.

You need not over-worry yourself with unrealistic expectations.

Arsenal is still better than Tottenham even without Van Persie, and Cazorla

Does this mean that every time United lose a game we can quickly change over to the stock sticker and watch their share prices drop too?

1 point difference last year and RVP staying injury free was a miracle (which is why they should sell)

You're going to be wasting a lot of time sitting in front of Bloomberg waiting for those stock decreases.

I actually thought that Spurs were the much better team until that end of season meltdown.

Didn't their meltdown begin in February? That was a lot longer than end of season,

I heard the same thing from Liverpool fans the season previous.

I like Wenger calling out the these ridiculous clubs, over-spending and compromising the transfer structure.

I'm warming up more and more to Mourinho, and one day taking over the greatest club in the history of football.

Interesting analysis:

Quote:
A leading football finance expert has said that Manchester United are overvalued and believes that their forthcoming IPO will prove the prelude to the sale of the club.

"If you look at the current exchange rate, you get about £2 billion. They were talking about £1.8 billion a year ago, which is way too high," said David Bick, chairman of Square1 consulting. "I just don't get the valuation. I don't get why major banks [as underwriters] have put their name behind it."

United plan to use some of the proceeds to repay around £75 million of their debts, which currently stand at £437 million. But Bick said: "It is barely 20% of the debt. It is the bare minimum. I think that this float is just the prelude to them getting a market price and selling the club."

While 10% of shares in the club are for sale, the Glazers will retain 98.7% of voting rights, because shares are split between Class A shares, which carry one vote per share and Class B shares, which have 10 votes per share.

It is a reason why the club is being floated in the United States, rather than the United Kingdom, and Bick said it would deter potential investors.

"You would never get it in London and I am kind of surprised they would have it in the US with A Shares and B shares," he added. "Most London institutions would not touch that with a bargepole. I can't remember the last time there was some kind of double voting structure on the London market."

Well, Wenger isnt the first to call out overspending in the game. Thats been a huge problem for a long time and is a major reason leading into the implementation of FFP rules.

No one is immune to it, if clubs have won titles recently they have done so at great expense.

As for Mourinho, he already manages Real Madrid.

They're only putting forward 75 million now? On the prospectus it was 200million.

It is interesting. Some British financiers are looking at it thinking its insane and that they would never touch it and yet its expected that American financiers are going to gobble it up like bacon wrapped bacon.

Ah, I meant it's more than interesting. 10:1 vs 1:1 share voting classes.. is grand larceny.
