Grid deals are only bad if you're not willing to include cap if/when you go to trade them. Bert didn't cost an arm and a leg and it fills a spot.

And with the 3.5 Mil in cap that I had, going up against other teams that have 30+ mil in cap space, the odds of me getting him or anyone over 64 OV quickly dwindle towards 0.

Rather have someone for sure than a maybe, especially when it's doubtful that I'd be able to snag one.

shhhh...let him keep building something special in florida. I can't wait till the work is complete and we see how good this team is in 2020.

It won't be in 2020 cause he will have 7 61OVR players on 1 way grid deals making 6 mill per.

I've moved a ton of players with questionable contracts in the past, even multi year ones without any difficulty. Beyond next year, I'll have 5.5 million committed between Bert and Gabby Bourque only which is not a big deal at all.

I should be in the playoffs this year as well so it's all good.
