Or LESS guns. Or some combination of the two.

Sorry to interrupt the gun discussion but Christian Bale went to visit some of the victims at the hospital today:
http://www.people.com/people/article...614561,00.html
Quote:
According to a local Denver TV reporter, Bale was seen entering the hospital where many of the wounded are being treated.
One of them, Carey Rottman, posted a Facebook photo of himself with Bale at his bedside.
"Mr. Bale is there as himself, not representing Warner Brothers," an assistant for Susan Fleishman, executive vice president for Warner Brothers corporate communications, tells the Denver Post.
I don't see anywhere in the wikipedia article or COHA's website where it is described as a left wing think tank.
In the wikipedia article under "what others say" it quotes the Boston Globe, New York Times, and the LA Times. All three discribe them as liberal. I believe it is the LA Time that discribes them as a liberal think tank.
I tried to search the reference for the rifles smuggled in 2007 and 2010 but, you need to be a member to access it.

Yes Governments limits freedoms where it can. Fortunately the Constitution and seperate levels of government keeps them from doing too much.
That doesn't mean that people shouldn't hold whoever is in power accountable for what they don't do or what freedoms they try to take away.

This is why Batman is the best. It's nice to see how genuinely happy he looks in those pictures to be putting smiles on people's faces. As always these horrible tragedies produce many moments of the best in humanity.

It gave the graduate student a $26,000 stipend and paid his tuition for the highly competitive neuroscience program at the University of Colorado in Denver. Holmes was one of six neuroscience students at the school to get the grant money.

Insane. This guy was obviously a very smart person. Seriously, if you think about it, he buys a bunch of firearms and other equipment, wires up 30 bombs and bobby traps them in his house, drives to a movie theatre that he KNOWS well be full, walks in, kills a bunch of people and injures even more, walks away, and gives himself up to the cops.
I can see why the conspiracy theorists are having a hay day with this. Its like a bad movie.

Based on what I've personally seen graduate students get away with spending scholarship money on (cars, vacations, gaming systems etc.), I would not be surprised if he used some of that money to acquire his arsenal.

Well sending the notebook, if true, just confirms this was premeditated, which increases the chances this becomes a death penalty case.

Pretty sure that wasn't his point.
Fox sucks but they don't just make up quotes from the FBI and investigators.
And for anyone too lazy to read the article says that the killer mailed his plans to some professor at a university.

Bush had 8 years to secure the southern border. Why don't you blame him instead of Obama? Oh yeah, I remember now. Because Bush is white.

God bless Republicans, they want to cut costs so they suggest a 30 billion dollar border fence with an estimated maximum 20 year lifespan that has 6.5 billion a year in annual upkeep. So the cost cutting Republicans want to spend (in today's dollars) 160 Billion dollars on a fence, but they want to cut 2 million from the Minority Business Development Agency to balance the budget.
If you ever question a Republican on gun control, they always cite their undying belief in "freedom". Of course this belief in freedom is always suspended when it comes to fighting terrorists, then everyone's freedom gets curtailed because some guy tried to light his shoe on fire, or brought bad shampoo on a plane, or had a snow globes as a little boy. Only in the US of A is a snow globe banned on an airplane but a guy can grab a semi automatic gun at his local convenience store...80 year old ladies freedom to take a snow globe back home after Christmas to the family can be curtailed, but god forbid you stop a guy from getting the gun of his choice, that is a freedom all Republican lawmakers will fight for the gun freedom. But snow globe afficianados you are on your own, the Republican party will never stand with you in regards to your fight to take a snow globe with you on an airplane.

You can't be serious.
They are a legitimate news agency. They do report actual news. Where they get into trouble is with their editorial programming.
Questioning an article like this because it was posted on Fox news is incredibly naive.

We do have a US Political Discussion thread if we wanna debate US Politics. While this thread is obviously now more about a gun control debate than analysis of the story and mourning the victims, it'd be nice if we could try and keep it to just those two subjects rather than branching off into political tangents.
