I agree with everything the NCAA hammered Pen State except they should have gotten 10 years of Bowl bans that would ensure that the program is entirely rebuilt. 4 years of bowl bans is really just a cycle of recruits. Extend the 5 less recruits from 4 years to 10.
The program should be crippled as punishment for decades of turning their eyes and conscience away from these rapes being commited.

Trust me, it's crippled, the damage is not as simple as a cycle of recruits. They will take a decade to rebuild in a best case scenario. SMU didn't bounce back after 2 years ... its been 2 decades plus and they are just now starting to turn the corner. They are right in the middle of maybe the most fertile recruiting geography in the country and they still struggle like he// to rebuild.

And really the goal should not be to cripple or kill Penn State. It's to ensure, that without a doubt, corrective measures are put in place, have it rebuild and be a normal functioning football program again. I just don't see what is incrementally better about just killing the program off.

I agree with everything the NCAA handed out and think they coukd have went even further. One thing i hate is when they take away wins.

100s of players worked their asses off over those 14 seasons to get those wins, and they had no idea this was happening. However they now have their college careers ripped away from them.

Punish Paterno and remove him as the coach of record for those wins but dont just take the wins away.
