Trust me, it's crippled, the damage is not as simple as a cycle of recruits. They will take a decade to rebuild in a best case scenario. SMU didn't bounce back after 2 years ... its been 2 decades plus and they are just now starting to turn the corner. They are right in the middle of maybe the most fertile recruiting geography in the country and they still struggle like he// to rebuild.
And really the goal should not be to cripple or kill Penn State. It's to ensure, that without a doubt, corrective measures are put in place, have it rebuild and be a normal functioning football program again. I just don't see what is incrementally better about just killing the program off.
