Sorry, it just struck me really weird when you made that original comment. I was kinda like, yeah, erm, well...

IMO the massive injury to the right side of his face makes sense.

Of course things don't go as smoothly as that and we have ourselves one of the best shows I've watched on TV in years.

Sunday nights at 8 on AMC.

First season (only 6 episodes) finished off last night and I can't wait for more.
I quoted the original post which was made in March of 2008.

It is interesting how 4 years can change things. Nobody will ever again say Bryan Cranston (Hal from Malcolm in the Middle).

No but they might say he was Dr Tim Whatley.

It shows how good Bryan Cranston is. Malcolm in the Middle during it's prime was one of the funnier sitcoms on TV and Hal was the best character on the show. Thinking back to Hal running around in those tighty whities spazing out still has me laughing. When I watched the first episode of Breaking Bad and saw Walt in a similar outfit I thought poor Bryan.. can't get away from that small underwear.

It was interesting that the trailer for Total Recall during Breaking Bad last week showed Cranston heavily.

He joked on Conan last week that he has a nudity clause in his contracts that says he has to do nudity. Said he has the worst lawyer/agent in the world.

Honest to goodness one of the best episodes I've seen of Breaking Bad. How does this get better week-to-week, season-to-season. It had me from start to finish.

The showdown in the interrogation room between Mike and Hank was amazing. Two polar opposite characters and long time series regulars finally come face-to-face and man was it ever good. Hank was in his complete comfort zone and Mike didn't back down, a truly great scene.

So many things to cover from tonight episode.. but in today's never live in the moment world I never checked my phone once... which is saying something. It had me from start to finish. Towards the end with Mike in Lydia's home... her pleading, not for her life, but for her child not to think she was abandoned was great. I thought she was a goner but it took another interesting twist.

Brilliant show.

The only thing I wasn't fond of was Mike doing the whole "going in without a lawyer" thing. Street smart ex-cop definitely isn't doing that. Just a little too TV for me. I guess that's pretty minor though.

Yeah. He played that a little bit too cool, almost toying with Hank. He should have played it a lot dumber than that to get them off his case.

I agree that all Mike did was raise suspicion on himself

that being said the entire scene was great, I loved when he put his hands on the table

Great episode. Very dark and lots of tension. Walt is becoming pretty sinister.

"Franch"

I wonder if that comment from Hank's old boss clicked. Unfortunately it's hard to tell with Hank. All of his facial expressions seem to indicate that he is more in the know than he's letting on. I am really surprised that Dean Norris is getting snubbed at the Emmy's.

Who does he beat out for a nomination though? Not Giancarlo Esposito and definitely not Aaron Paul. Aaron Paul is just consistently killing it every season. If Aaron Paul doesn't win that Emmy this year, it's an outrage.

The scene he did a couple seasons ago, when he was in the support group, talking about the box he made in woodshop was one of the best scenes I've seen in a TV show.
