Nah, it's cool. Usually I look past the plot holes, but given the standard the first two set, this one underwhelmed me. For as much as I've trashed it in my last two posts, it was a decent flick. But I don't think it is a $500 million movie like TDK was.

Every time there was a string of gunshots in the movie, I wondered if it was at that point that the Aurora psycho decided to add his own "special effects."

I was really wondering what sort of affect the shooting would have on the movie. It does seem like some people are having traumatic experiences as a result, and some aren't even going to see the movie. I know it doesn't compare to what happened to the victims in Aurora, but it's a real shame.

I see many people are trying to blame the movie for the shooter's rampage, but he probably would have gone off at some point anyway.

This will also have an affect on the promoting and box office results of the movie. Once again not the thing anyone should be caring about, but it should be noted.

I would love them to do A Killing Joke as more of a one-shot, but alas they will not likely use Joker in a movie for a long time, if ever.

What I really hope they do in the next one is do something similar to Arkham Asylum. That was such a great game and a great story. It would be fantastic to see them do something with the premise.

Although I would like it to maintain a bit more serious tone. It would be easy to see it done cheesy like previous ones (Namely Batman Forever and Batman & Robin) but if they could keep it more in line with Nolan's films, they would have my $15 bucks opening night.

^ I was sort of hoping for the opposite in which a Batman game uses the Nolan universe, instead of the one they are using now.

Don't get me wrong, the games being made now are great, but making a game out of these movies would certainly be exceptional. They could even create stories that happened in-between the movies, as that is something I wish would have been established.

The trilogy made it feel like Batman was only active during the movies, and he only took on the villains from the three movies, which is hardly a career as a crime fighter. With the right development and writing they could fill in the holes on what happened during the breaks in the movies.

Also concerning the movies for some reason I really see Johnathan Nolan taking over and continuing on the legacy; that is if DC wants to continue on with the franchise (without rebooting it all). The younger Nolan has only been a writer up to this point and would be much more willing to take on the role than Christopher, who obviously has other prospects out there. Finally he is only 36 years old, so he has the youth needed to take the role I'd say.

Spoiler!

I thought it was a great film. Bane's character was strong and powerful. I know a lot of you guys didn't like his voice but i thought it fit Bane very well, especially for a character that is so dominant and fearful. Overall i'd give it a 4/5. All of Noland's Batman movies are great but i personally enjoyed this one more than The Dark Knight. Don't get me wrong, The Dark Knight is great but this one got me on the edge of my seat more than The Dark Knight did.

After letting in sink in 24 hours later I agree with others that say this Batman actually is the lesser of the whole trilogy. Still a great movie, but I think the story in Batman Begins and Dark Knight was more solid. Probably due to character development.

I saw the movie this afternoon. I enjoyed it. I found that TDKR was more emotionally heavy than TDK. But I think TDK was a better movie.

Nolan created a great universe but I think if they do reboot Batman, there's definitely a much more down-to-earth Batman that could be created.

Go back to the comics a little more and find a way to work in the dark-greyish cloth costume Batman wears (the bullet resistant armor could still be underneath but taking a shot would still knock him back). Give him white contacts (some kind of vision thing?). Have a more year-one like story without the fancy near-future technology, etc.

Sort of the look from the Batman vs. Predator fan film but do give some Batman some armor underneath the cloth so he doesn't die from the first bullet that hits him.

The one part that really bugged me was when it's the fully armed Bain mercenary army with assault rifles, sub-machine guns, etc. vs the Police who have been living in the dark, stinky sewers for 5 months using billy clubs and Glocks.

Batman flies in on the Bat and knocks out the Tumblers with his EM things but doesn't do any crowd suppression (gas? sonic attack? rubber bullets? anything Batman?) on the mercenary army and then he just lets the Police officers do a charge of the light brigade into the automatic fire of Bain's army. Realistically, that should have ended up like D-Day with 80% of the officers dead.

Was that a Batman movie? You could have completely missed all of the footage with Batman in it if you had to piss 2 or 3 times. Way too many things that just didn't make sense or were completely ridiculous. A bizzare viewing experience from start to finish. I'm pretty surprised how bad this was. Warner Brothers shouldn't have rushed this movie along as much as they did. A generous 2.5/5. This coming from someone who thought the first two were amazing and was 99.9% confident that this film would be more of the same.

Well that was a whole lot of 'meh'. I wasn't expecting it to top Dark Knight, but this was easily the weakest of the trilogy. Last half hour was good, but I don't think I'd bother adding it to the movie library.
