Hopefully Lester and Beckett continue to pitch like the chicken chokers they are from the second half of last season. By that I mean a couple of guys more concerned with eating chicken wings on off days, than how they're pitching.
The good news is that Ortiz is likely out for this series...the bad news is that Crawford and Elsbury are back. Red Sox are starting to come on though.

Gotta admit, I like what I see from Snider in the field today. Tracking down those base hits quickly and getting the ball in fast. Probably stopped a runner or two from getting doubles. Looks like he's playing with some added fire today, I like it.

His third at bat was very good as well. Fouled off the tough pitches, and earned the walk.

And then a double in the 9th and scores the 6th Jays run. Pretty nice night for him.

Janssen needs to relax. He's got a huge lead, just throw some strikes.

As posted above, Laffey looked great. Hopefully Villaneuva can continue his strong play tomorrow.

Like what I saw from Snider tonight. I'm hoping that he can gain some consistency and develop into roughly the player he was supposed to be.

Oh yeah, now 6-3 and the Jays could blow this even further wide open.

3 pitch strikeout with the bases loaded, poor Lind. Still a nice inning.

Don't forget Villaneuva, he looked good again, rough spot in the 2nd inning tonight but was good after that.

he definitely did good as well.
Just focusing on the new guys.
We are only 3.5 games out of the first wildcard spot, with a relatively easy part of the sched coming up the next two weeks, playing the A's and Mariners as well as the Tigers who've been better but aren't great (they are in the 1st WC spot).
