Excited about the close finish or excited about Els win and what he did to win it?

Maybe I am different than most but watching a guy make bonehead shot after bonehead shot and then missing a putt is not as fun as watching great shots and a big putt to win.

Either way Els gets the win and Scott misses out on an incredible opportunity that may never come again for him. Unbelievable ending to the round.

Was els' caddy tearing up a bit when they won? He was pretty emotional.

Well meltdowns are interesting to watch its too bad the tournament is going to end up being lost by Scott not so much won by Ernie.

He just shot the 5th best round of the entire day.

Ernie's round was leaps and bounds ahead of anyone in the last fifteen groups

Ernie's humility is incredible to watch. Clearly he feels devastated for Adam.

Ya, as is so common on the sunday of a major- the players 4 or 5 strokes back at the beginning of the round think they need to go low to win it, when even par or a -1 is often good enough. Mcdowell, Woods, Snedeker would have played a lot different if they had known going in.

Guys were shooting 2 OVER par today and still climbing up the leader board, including into the top ten.

Els was 2 under in the most difficult conditions.

Classy interview by els and Scott as well

I'm sure there are a lot of examples, but that triple by Woods. Imagine if he could have got a par there, or a birdie!

Adam Scott appears to be taking it well. I think he'll be alright. Still young, lots of talent, he'll still be a great player. Might not win a major though, cause today shows just how difficult it is.

Congrats to Otsy for correctly predicting Ernie Els. Probably didn't expect it to happen this way though.

I didn't even realize the Canadian Open was next week. This country should have two tournaments a year.

One thing that sucks is that just like the US open, we saw a relatively small amount of coverage on the winner over the week- kind of came out of nowhere and the network doesn't start giving good coverage until the last 5 holes. We probably saw 270 of Tiger's 277 shots, and probably a 1/4 of Ernie's shots.

^^In that regard, since the Canadian Open is basically only in Ontario and occasionally Shaughnessy or Royal Montreal, they might as just have one tournament in eastern Canada and one that rotates out in the Western provinces.
