Not quite. More like 3 feet. Still a lot of water over that large of an area.

I try to make sure I drive outside peak times whenever possible. Leave early/late enough and it's usually not a problem. Golden to Revelstoke is usually the stretch that ruins my trip times.

Haha, yeah if the lake rose 18 feet, then every vacation home on the entire lake would be under water.

Turns out it is about one and a half meters

Edit: Maybe the Sicamous Creek was 18ft higher?

Hey has anyone been out this way recently? Is the Sicamous part of the highway travelable? Haven't seen anything about it recently.

Driving to Vancouver via Kelowna (and Sicamous) this weekend. Thanks.

I'm heading out to Sicamous this weekend and I've talked to my boat mechanic out there. He said the water has started to come down and all the roads in the area are drivable. You should be fine.

Yeah we just drove through on Sunday from kelowna. Traffic flow was good considering all the construction.

Thinking of camping on Shuswap lake for August long.

Could anyone recommend a specific campsite?
Any idea what kind of shape the beach is in right now?

Thanks!
