Default Mass shooting in Toronto

Just mentioned on Global news. 20 or more people shot in Toronto's east end. Not many details at the moment.

I'm in Toronto and watching the news and so far two dead and up to 21 shot at a house party. One girl possibly 12 is dead and a 19-20 year old male dead as well. Damn sad.

Supposedly there was a house party with hundreds there ranging from pre-teens to young adults mostly and who knows what happened that resulted in this. One person is in custody, but is considered 'person of interest'.

They said some of the injuries were not from gunfire but the panic that happened after the shooting.

A shooting at a block party in the east end of Toronto has killed two people and multiple others have been injured, police say.
Quote:
Toronto EMS initially reported that at least seven people had been sent to hospital, though police Const. Wendy Drummond later told reporters that there were “upwards of 19 victims,” though not all were injured by gunfire and some were hurt as people fled the scene.

The victims were transported to various hospitals in the area, including the Scarborough Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, St. Michael’s Hospital and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre.

Are you seriously using a thread about two people, including a child, being shot to death as an opportunity to deride gun control?

Anyway, very sad story. I only hope the death doesn't rise at all.

Probably another bunch of dumb kids trying to recreate a Project X-esque party. It was only a matter of time before somebody did this. If anybody is allowed to come, odds are a psychopath will eventually show up.

Default 2 Dead, 19 Injured in Toronto Shooting

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toront...-shooting.html

Quote:
Toronto police Chief Bill Blair says two people died and at least 19 others were wounded in a shooting that occurred at a block party in the city’s east end on Monday night.

Speaking to reporters hours after the shooting, a visibly shaken Blair confirmed that a teenage girl and a young adult male had been killed in the violence.

An infant was also wounded in the shooting, though the police chief said the child’s injuries were not life threatening. He said most of the remaining injured appeared to be adults.
This is really sad, I hope all of the injured recover and my sympathies to the family and friends of all involved.

Live in and love toronto, but damn this city seems to be getting more ghetto every day.

This and the eaton center shooting are just so disgraceful. Cowardly acts, where you'd assume there was a particular 'hit' involved, yet the spineless fool decides to shoot up in a public place with tons of innocent bystanders.

Toronto seems to be having a rough summer. Reminds me of "the summer of the gun" a few years ago. It's a shame.

It sounds like a gang related shooting at a BBQ. Guy 1 gets shot, pulls a gun on the ground and sprays the crowd hoping to shoot the original attacker. I hope they both die horrible, painful deaths.

Default It is lack of gun control and the culture that caused this

Does it make more sense when you say this when it happens in Canada or the US.

Crazy people and Criminals are everywhere.
