Default Outdoor fountains in NW (for jogging)?

I like to jog around Dalhousie, Hawkwood and Ranchlands. I hate carrying water and I want to know if anyone knows of any outdoor or always open public water fountains within about a 10k radius of Ranchlands. Any help would be greatly appreciated, it sucks having to stop because I am dehydrated.

I grew up around there and the only place I can think of where I remember there being one (and I could be wrong) is near the man made waterfall park in Edgemont.

There are some in Confederation Park but that's a little far.

Hoses are attached to every house that you might jog by...

Just look for a house with the sprinklers running in the front lawn.

Hose water is the best water. Well, skipping the hose and sticking your head directly under the tap is pretty great too.

Back in the day most tennis courts had a fountain, maybe give that a shot?

It's not Rome - the best outdoor fountain place in the world for joggers - so you should do what everyone else does when they start pushing past 10 km in this city . . . . . . go to a running store and get a water belt or a bladder to carry with you.

I like to carry two half litre bottles when going on long runs. CamelBaks work but I am lazy and belts just seem too reminiscent of fanny packs.
Water bottles are cheap and easy.

My wife's cousin picks up his dog and lets him drink from outdoor fountains. I'm pretty sure he's not the only moron who has thought of this...

Just think of the added weight of the water on your back in a camelbak as extra weight training and helping with using other muscles with balance and support to make your workout session more efficient and effective overall.

wouldn't work, I do interval training where I'll sprint up hills then do a light jog to recover, there is no way I can carry a camelback with how hard I run simply because it will make it too hard to sprint and throw me way off balance. Those little bottles at running stores won't work either because they fly every where (I have some but one is cracked because it flew on the road). It just really blows running to the top of Hawkwood and having to run back when I'm extremely dehydrated. I used to walk into the Hawkwood elementary school and drink from their fountains but its closed for summer.

FYI that's against CBE policy and it is posted as such at the door. You are trespassing and I believe there is also a criminal charge for unauthorized access to a public school (for the protection of the children). If I saw a weird sweaty guy coming into my kid's school I'd be all over you.
