Went really well.

ALWAYS have a back up plan if your planning a zipline! She was dressed way to nice so I stuffed that plan in my back pocket for later. Too funny especially after this thread!

Ended up doing a nice dinner, bottle of wine and a pleasant walk in locked arms. It wasn't mind blowing but it was nice.

Forget fancy restaurants.

I suggest taking your date home and making chai tea.

Enjoy your tea while listening to hit Radio Host Jiang Gomeshi on CBC Radio 1 talk about up and coming bands in Toronto's hip indie music scene.

Sounds like a good idea!

Sorry I just had to laugh at the OP for starting a thread about wanting to do something crazy and outside the box...and then ended up taking her for dinner and a stroll in the park.

It was pretty funny. I was chuckling to myself during the whole date. It's still going well however.

Comedy club. It's not formal, you two can talk and have drinks, laugh, get picked on by the comedian.

If it's a crappy amateur night comic and a dive club you can still have a good time laughing about how ridiculous it all is.

Just a suggestion that's worked for me sometimes.

Hah, I actually do this too, but I was at a comedy club last night and I'm not going to the same thing twice in 3 days.

There really aren't that many good ideas in this town that I can see -borne out by the fact that this thread is half full of talking about what restaurants are good. Zoo lights is something once it starts, but until then...

Going to a Heat game is a good idea but only if the girl's into hockey.

This is the beauty of Twitter and Face book. If you follow/like a bunch of things you are interested in, you will find out about all kinds of cool events.

For example, CJSW had a party at Rothney Observatory last week, with telescope viewing, a lecture by an astronomer, beer/wine and DJs.

This is a big city, with lots going on.

Zoo is still open. That's what I'm going with this weekend.
