Anybody know of a place where I can find a boat dock?
My dog loves the water and there is a competition for dogs called "dock diving" where the dog runs the length of the dock and leaps into the water. They measure the distance the dog leaps.
Anyways I'd like to see if my dog would even do that or if he'd put the brakes on as soon as he came to the edge of the dock.
So I need to find a dock that the public has access to where I can practice with my dog.
P.S. I know that Glenmore Reservoir has a dock but unfortunately its against the law to let your dog swim in the reservoir.
If you follow Bow Bottom Trail all the way into fish creek and to the very end, there is a boat launch. I don't remember if there is a dock though. I'm not certain of the rules for dogs though.

lol, you're suggesting he should lead his dog off a boat launch into the fast flowing bow river?
I thought so too. Last time I was there (a few years ago) they had a wooden dock that kids used to jump and fish off of.
However, its no more. They took out the dock and built a cement structure with a steel railing around it.... so basically they took a fun piece of structure and ruined it.
Pretty sure theres some in Chesterslough by the 1A bridge.
I thought about that place... looked it up on google map and there does appear to be a public dock by the hwy that cuts across the lake. I will have to check it out.
Anybody know where there is a public boat dock?
