Wow that is even more mindboggling than me not having a/c. Go get a digital thermostat! it's not that hard to install and they are cheap!

I rent, why would I spend money to upgrade my land lords apartment?
My thermostat only has two modes. In the wintertime, it's on. In the summertime, it's off. I don't really need a digital thermostat for that! hehe

Blah... as worth says, am renting and likely when we move out landlord will tear down the house and build 2 or more infills so not a priority.

Some of us learned the imperial system and then bam .. half way through our education metric became the "new" system.
Besides, they are just numbers.... I can feel how hot it is without looking at a thermostat.

Yes, true. I don't have to pay for heat. If I did, I would probably want more accuracy to save on heating.
And having only Fahrenheit allows you to learn that scale. I actually switched everything over in my old car to F so I am basically bilingual in metric/imperial measurements of both speed and temperature. It is very useful, especially when talking to an American.

I had two yesterday. Once when I got home after work to cool off and then once after I bbq'ed, again to cool off.

I wait all year to enjoy a few days of hot weather. It's been much hotter for much longer in many parts of the country. We get shafted with our long crappy Springs in my opinion, this weather is great and not really that hot once you get used to it.

Let's not get carried away. Most places show highs of around 35C, the hottest is in the desert at 40C. It's like Toronto when 28C and muggy somehow equals 40C.

People bitchin about the heat need to grab a slurpee and go sit on 4th st for a half hour or so and watch the "scenery". You won't be complaining for long.
I'll take +30 over -30 all day long.

It's even free Slurpee day (7/11), so you can get the world's smallest Slurpee for free today.

A slurpee from sev. I couldn't even drink a quarter of it and it was only a medium.
