Brink is up and coming but I wouldn't put him anywher near the top half yet. Durant as the 2nd best QB in the league just seems wrong considering his decision making ability but it seems like a logical place for him to go for me.

1. Lulay
2. Durant
3. Toss up for me between
  • Calvillo
  • Ray
  • Burris
6.Tate
7. Brink
8. Jyles

Just my .02 so far.
I think that it has to be done in groupings, similar to what you have but without numbers.

Lulay right now is in a class of his own.

Not sure how Durant is seen as better than Ray, Burris or AC. I would say they are all in the same category having shown the ability to win games on their own and be great but in the case of the latter 3 the diminished skills with age and no longer able to win games on their own as often and in the case of Durant not having the skill or ability to win games often enough.

Tate, Jyles and Brink/Pierce would be in the bottom 3rd due to inexperience/lack of proof they are any good (Brink/Tate), injury (Pierce) and long history of below average to sucking (Jyles).

I think the clear thing in ranking guys is that there is a big drop off after Lulay and that QB'ing in the CFL is very weak right now. I can't say that it would be that shocking to see any of the teams outside of BC with a new starting QB for the final 5-8 games of the year, and not due to injury. I doubt that it happens in TO, Hamilton or Calgary based on the commitment they made to the new guy or Sask based on the deification of Durant there but based on their play it could easily be warranted in all the cities.

Durant had a great 1st game and may be having a bounce back year. If he has time to let him get the ball into peoples hands he can be very dangerous. Take away his time tho and he becomes Burris-like. For now tho based on week 1 and previous play, I can't put Ray or Calvillo ahead of him. Both Qb's are aging and slowing down a lot.

Calvillo has 183 passing yards after one quarter tonight. This is more like the AC we know

I am no Bombers fan and don't want to defend them but didn't they go to the Grey Cup last year?

They do suck but with crap teams like the riders in the league "losers of the league" seems harsh.

Anyone else feel that Samuel Giguere is getting way overhyped?

Who's the Hamilton play caller? There have been some weird choices.

BC is putting a beating on the Ticats, even if the score is sort of close. I was wrong - Hamilton looks like the 2011 Riders. Burris is done

Yep. Hamilton, in general, has been over-hyped. They have a good team on paper.

Walker is exciting too watch, though.

Gawd... Rod Black is hard to listen to. Isn't there figure skating he could be doing...somewhere? Anywhere?
