In the broadcast, Swaggart was discussing his opposition to gay marriage when he said “I’ve never seen a man in my life I wanted to marry.” “And I’m going to be blunt and plain: If one ever looks at me like that, I’m going to kill him and tell God he died,” Swaggart said to laughter and applause from the congregation.

Jimmy Swaggart should be ashamed as should whoever clapped along with him.
Maybe he should re-read his bible:
1 John 2:3-5
We know that we have come to know him if we obey his commands. [4] The man who says, "I know him," but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in him. [5] But if anyone obeys his word, God's love is truly made complete in him. This is how we know we are in him: [NIV]

Rev. Jimmy Swaggart
American televangelist caught masturbating with prostitutes
Evolution is a bankrupt speculative philosophy, not a scientific fact. Only a spiritually bankrupt society could ever believe it.... Only atheists could accept this Satanic theory.-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart (attributed: source unknown)
The Media is ruled by Satan. But yet I wonder if many Christians fully understand that. Also, will they believe what the Media says, considering that its aim is to steal, kill, and destroy?
-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, The Evangelist, January 1988
Sex education classes in our public schools are promoting incest.
-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, quoted from http://i.am/not_a_crook
The word "philosophy" simply means "a pursuit of wisdom, the purpose of life, and a search for Truth." However, this quest, because it originates with man, can never find the answers. In fact, man cannot reach God or know God by intellectual pursuit.-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, "The Gospel and Philosophy," in The Evangelist, January 1988
If I do not return to the pulpit this weekend, millions of people will go to hell.
-- Rev. Jimmy Swaggart, 20 May 1988
Frank Zappa on Swaggart:
"Anybody hear the great news, today? Jimmy Swaggart under investigation! Oh Ja-ee-zus! One day every one of those *$*#*@* will get caught! I understand in the case of Mr. Swaggart, that he claims that it was not multiple encounters with many prostitutes -- apparently, only one sweet young thing. And he did tell Cal Thomas of the Moral Majority that the sex act itself was not fully consumated. However he did admit to doing something por-no-graphic with the girl. Let's use our imaginations, ladies and gentlemen!"
-- Frank Zappa, opening remarks to "Stink Foot" at the Make A Jazz Noise Here show, recorded in 1988

JS is a joke anyone would follow him is a fool. The guy should get together with Oral Roberts and start a newcampaign like what O.R did in the late eighties. Give money to our ministry or God will take us home. The funny part was it was Ozzy that ended up sending a check so poor O.R wouldn't look like a fool when the deadline hit and he was still here. Still think Ozzy shouldn't have done that. I was waiting to see what insane Oral was going to do.
and who names there kid Oral?

Isn't the fundamental principle of Christianity..."Love your neighbour as you love yourself."
Maybe JS should read up on what Chrisitianity, not the church is all about.

I think the fundemental principle is . . . "Don't ask any questions".

Pretty sure it isn't. That would be Church doctrine, not the actual faith itself.

The whole foundation of Christianity is based on the idea that intellectualism is the work of the Devil. Remember the apple on the tree? Okay, it was the Tree of Knowledge. "You eat this apple, you're going to be as smart as God. We can't have that."-- Frank Zappa
Faith is the great cop-out, the great excuse to evade the need to think and evaluate evidence. Faith is belief in spite of, even perhaps because of, the lack of evidence.-- Richard Dawkins (attributed: source unknown)

Well no message board, but hours (okay, maybe a few minutes) of fun over at jsm.org.
That guy is shilling some pretty good stuff. Maybe the best thing was the opportunity to buy a bible for one of the troops "over there" for the low low price of $50 American dollars. "$50 for Jesus -- don't you haveuh just 50 dollars so one of our troopsuh can have uhJesus"!
It seems Jimmy puts out about a record a year and I suppose you go to hell if you don't buy it. I think some of his best work was done in the mid-80's, right around the time he got busted getting serviced by that hooker in the Big Easy. I wonder what he was thinking of when he recorded "Let your Living Water Flow", "He Grew the Tree", "Headin' Home" and the classic "I'll Never be Lonely Again".
Highlight of the day goes to this little sentence that accompanies one of his "teaching cds":
The deliverance of the Children of Israel from Egyptian bondage was not a type of Salvation as many think, but rather a type of the Deliverance of the Believer from under the yolk of Satan.
I don't know about you guys, but I love bacon and hashbrowns when I'm having my Satan eggs.
What a bunch of morons.

“If it’s an insult, I certainly didn’t think it was, but if they are offended, then I certainly offer an apology.”
This guy is out of his mind.

Tons of people who go to church and say they are "Christian" are really just racist bigots or whatever.
I don't have a lot of goodwill towards the church as an establishment for the most part.

The foundation of Christianity is Christ. Not Adam and Eve. Not the bible.
