I noticed Hudler signed on TSN and at first thought I was thinking just great who just got richer and I shocked to see the Flames have him , wow just wow. Hudler will be incredible on the second line. A guy that has all his winning experience and is still young. Hudler is a quality player that plays both wings and has played Center.
This is going to be a skilled player signing for the Flames.

Not to sure what to expect out of this. Is this precurser to a Jagr signing as well? Trading off one of the LW's?

Agreed.
This is no longer a game of size and toughness.
It's a game of skill and ice surface coverage.
My 5 guys must cover the ice faster than your 5 guys.
Flames need backcheckers! Something that has been lacking for years.

I don't know what to think of this right now but not shocking considering ow weak we are on RW. For now its a good signing.

I'm not sure if it's going to translate into wins but it's safe to say the Dome should be a more exciting place to be next season. With a new coach and the team going skill over size and stifling defense it's going to be a different team next year and IMO that just may be a good thing.

See. The big man knows what he's doin. This was one player I thought we were sure to sign. On to whom now, Feaster? I'd suggest picking up another center, then an OFD.

wow - didn't expect this signing. i've never really watched detroit games so i don't really have an opinion on hudler - hopefully it works out.
i like the changes the flames are making - it looks like it will be some exciting hockey come october!

I wasn't expecting it, but I'm happy. I don't see him reproducing last year totals, but I see 15-20 goals and 40-50 points. I assume has some sort of NTC.
That most likely means no Jagr, which is fine by me. Not enough cap space left to make another significant signing, so this will basically be the team if Feaster doesn't make any trades.

Fixed your post, at least according to most...Crucified for not changing, crucified for changing. Crucified for bringing in players from losing teams, now we bring in someone from a winning team, and it was in spite of him.
What the eff...?

The team never said that, Feaster denied Millions' report that they wouldn't be a cap team, and another time said the owners were ok with spending to the cap.

I would add JayB to that list as well. Once Suter and Parise sign new deals, the trade market will open up.
