As for the signing I don't love it but he does have some skill so we will just have to see how it plays out and how he meshes with his new team. I'm surprised he chose the Flames though maybe he and Cervenka have ties?

ESPN listed him as 5'9" LW while Red Wings site and Wikipedia listed him as 5'10" C. I guess he can play both position i am hoping.

Whatever. Size has been useless for the Flames anyway.

... That's actually a pretty good looking roster. We're definitely better than we were last year.

I'll only worry about that if the Flames record get's worse than the 90+ points they average per season over the past 8 seasons. Does make you realize though why the team held on to Sarich. I'll take skill over size any day and I think the Flames need to be more skilled to keep up with the Canucks.

I like this signing. Good term and he is a guy entering his prime coming from a winning organization. Plus he should help Cervenka in his transition to the NHL. If we ca get Jagr we can put them all together for a "Czech"ing line.

We could add Malkin, Stastny, Briere and Doughty for a combined price of a 5th round pick and they'd still say stupid things.

Honestly we were big, old and slow and now the teams is getting younger, faster, and more skilled and fans still complain. Just goes to show that you will never make everyone happy.

Wow great signing. I haven't liked a lot of signings this summer but WOW - awesome. Perfect.

Yep, they might not make the playoffs, but at least it's going to be entertaining hockey to watch.
