Deadspin had a great article about the culture of Rape Jokes made right after the service.

So the Federal Pound Me In The Ass Prison stereotype lives on, with the conceit that rape can ever be a good thing. The irony is that all these internet white knights yucking it up about extrajudicial torture are just giving more power to the taboo that kept Sandusky's crimes from coming to light for so long.

In the immediate wake of Jerry Sandusky being found guilty on many counts, guaranteeing him many, many years in prison followed by death, there's not a right way to feel. Go with elated, or relieved, or vengeful, or unsatisfied, believe that justice won out or as the mother of one of Sandusky's victims put it Friday night, "we all lost." A common reaction would be to feel little bits of all of these. A startlingly common reaction was to make rape jokes.

That's the part that really gets me. People stop even mentioning the victims of this and it just becomes a "who can make the best rape joke" competition?

Jerry Sandusky was mercilessly taunted for HOURS during his first night in jail back in December -- when his fellow inmates chanted Pink Floyd's famous lyrics ... "Hey teacher, leave those kids alone!"

One of the men in the facility at the time -- a 22-year-old named Josh -- described the events to The Daily, saying they sang the song over and over ... all night.

Canada should take notice how quickly and effective the American justice deals with Child Rapists!

That's swift justice, take note MP's change your damn laws and get serious about child rapists and perverts. Start by actually calling them rapists instead of sexual assault, sexual interference with a minor, etc.
There is no sex involved when it comes to the children, its rape.

Heard SOOOO many different reports, but the general idea appears to be somewhere in the ballpark of a 4 or 5 year bowl ban and the loss of anywhere between 50 and 75 scholarships over a 5 year period. Which would basically cripple PSU for a decade. They might as well just join the MAC.

I get the ban, fine and loss of scholarships but why change the record books (take away all wins from 1998 - 2011)? Is there some kind of "bad thing" that happens when the record books show zero wins for a decade even if it wasn't true?
